If it is anything like years previous you do not get word from them until your secondary is processed. Then an email goes out giving you access to their online information. Checks have to be cashed to get your application complete.

Just received the email with access to the online information
 
received the post-secondary "online access" email, too... it seems that it takes about two weeks for PCOM to process things... sent my secondary application 7/31... if you look at last year's thread, it seems that they're on schedule... i just hope they don't send ii's mid to last week of September like last year... good luck my fellow applicants!!!
 
anybody know when PCOM starts interviewing?? im still working on the secondary cuz this prompt asks for a lot in just 250 words..i have been delaying writing the essay prompt cuz im still trying to brainstorm some ideas. just wondering if its worth it to keep delaying the secondary to make it crisp or just put something together and get it processed

apparently my supplemental and letters were received both on aug 1.. does your screen say complete anywhere? it doesnt say im missing anything but it doesnt say complete either lol

on my portal, it looks like I have all the "required" documents, but it doesn't say anything about being complete, either... I was thinking of emailing admissions to confirm if I am complete...
 
I think they said in an email that they don't update the status column and they don't send complete emails. We can check to see what they have and that's it I think
 
So I got the email from PCOM about my log in info and for some reason they have two links for me to click on after that making it look like I submitted my app twice? (I didn't)

Is anyone else seeing this?

I have 2 links, one for PA and the other for GA.

You're right. One is for GA. I actually never received a supplemental for the GA campus which I found odd... Guess I'll have to call them
 
Hey everyone. Just wanted to say I am applying to PCOM as well and it is certainly my number one choice.

I'm late to the game, only putting my primary in this week. Hopefully applying a little on the late side doesn't hurt me too much.

Anyone submit GA and PA supplemental at the same time but only get acknowledgment of supplementary received for GA?

GA came for me and then PA 2 days later.

Got the PA but not GA yet but I can see the GA status.

seems like PCOM moves at a more.....judicious pace.....wonder when II's come out for the philly campus...few weeks hopefully.

Well i got that they received my secondary and that they will invite me for an interview if I qualify. I don't think they send you a complete email.
 
Really hope to hear something soon. Taking OChem 2 solely for PCOM and would rather not, haha.
 
For those of you who got post-secondary email updates from PCOM, does the site indicate that you haven't paid when you check your status?

I paid but apparently their site says otherwise...

Yes mine says the date it was received
 
Did anyone submit a committee letter and have it only show up as one individual LOR on their portal?
 
Did anyone submit their LOR via interfolio? How long did it take for PCOM to show that they received it? thanks

How long after mailing your check? I mailed mine at least a week ago. I wonder if or when I should call and check to see if they received it. Do you think they wait until all your materials are in? I am pretty sure that my LORs have not been sent yet. I wonder if they are waiting for that.

Check mailed well over a week ago here, too, and it hasn't been cashed yet, either. However, received email a couple days ago saying secondary received with login info included, and on their portal, it says payment has been received. Maybe they only do a bank run once a week or something.

I had mailed my check on 8/8 and it was cashed on 8/13. I also submitted my secondary the same day but I have not received any emails giving me portal access. I would just wait a little longer, I am sure they are receiving a huge influx of applications, and everything will be sorted out in due time
 
When does PCOM start handing out interview invites? Late October?

what? I got a secondary from pcom like 2 days after my aacomas got verified. the georgia campus one came later.

Hello,

For anyone who has received a secondary application from PCOM, could you please verify whether the essay question is:

"Noting the mission and objectives of the Osteopathic profession and PCOM, please describe your personal characteristics that demonstrate your interest in this field. Include an example of an event in which your actions directly influenced the life of another person and relate this to your goal of becoming a DO."

This was the essay question from last year when I applied. I'd like to know whether the essay question remained the same because I'm currently waiting for them to send me the secondary and I'd like to begin working on the essay.

Does this mean they only received two of my letters? Or does the former correspond to science profs and the latter my non science prof? I sent three via Interfolio.

They did the same for me, except the "letter of recommendation 1" said "DO Letter of recommendation 1".

I think they just distinguish between the letters to make sure that it follows their requirements.
 
Anyone receive an II here yet? A girl at my school said she has an interview in September but I figured some SDNers would have posted if IIs were sent out at all. She could not provide me the date she was interviewing so I am thinking she easily could have confused another school with this one or just made it up completely.
 
Hi guys. I'm applying to both campuses and just receive the supplementary. So I understand there is no save option.. Did you all just type it in and submit? It's driving me crazy thinking about what if it never saved and they will just receive an empty secondary !🙁
 
I was instructed to try to resend it when I called and asked. Apparently it will tell you you already submitted an application if it went through before.
