do we know the consensus on emailing in pre-interview updates?
I'm sorry I don't have an answer to your questions, but I had to comment: Your avatar is ADORABLE! @_@
do we know the consensus on emailing in pre-interview updates?
I just called and asked and they told me the only updates they accept are new mcat scores and transcript updates. I just submitted a paper for peer review for which I'm first author so I was really hoping that could be added to my application, but they said they won't do it. 🙁do we know the consensus on emailing in pre-interview updates?
Last year they gave out roughly 450 acceptances for a class size of 270
If I follow correctly, you have an interview.I just called and asked and they told me the only updates they accept are new mcat scores and transcript updates. Ah no -- I didn't realize the person asking meant they had an interview -- my fault! I don't have an interview yet, so that's why I'm bummed that they won't accept that update. If I follow correctly, you have an interview.
Why are you worried? You'll have the opportunity to bring all your new research up during the session and the folks interviewing you will make note of it upon committee review.
Cool your jets.
oh okay! so then there is your answer LOL. good luck to you fingers crossed!!

How many people ended up coming off the wait list?
Did anyone who interviewed on or after Oct. 12 receive a decision yet?
October 14th ....and still patiently waitingDid anyone who interviewed on or after Oct. 12 receive a decision yet?

Like I said -- they told me a few days ago the only updates they will accept are MCAT scores and transcripts. If anything major then do it - otherwise don't
They accept transcripts and MCAT scores nothing elsedo we know the consensus on emailing in pre-interview updates?
If you didn't do your AACOMAS update yet, you might be able too - look into it? Not 100% sure when the deadline is but if you want to include your research, its an option.Like I said -- they told me a few days ago the only updates they will accept are MCAT scores and transcripts.
In what form have people been getting interview invites? Email or phone calls? I want to know what form of communication I should be checking my phone for every 5 minutes 😵
Thanks!! 🙂pretty sure it's email lol
Thanks!! 🙂
We can only sit back and hopethough idk if they're even sending out II's lol
It took me two weeks when I submitted my mcat to aacomas in May. They were having a glitch in their system. Hopefully it's faster now.Did it take a long time for MCAT scores to be uploaded? I submitted my secondary a couple of weeks ago and my letters were added shortly after but my MCAT still hasn't been loaded.

Thanks!E-mail - you reply to confirm
I have heard they usually send them on certain Tuesdays
i submitted in august, 510 MCAT 3.8 sGPA, IS, 3 years research with a year of full time service work. not a peep from PCOM. 🙁
Yeah. Me neither. Not sure what kind of applicant PCOM is looking for...
Secondary received 8/4, submitted 8/5, complete sometime in September, just got an II by email 11/12. Hang in there, everyone!
congrats! when is your interview btw? I got the email today too and its scheduled for next Friday. Didn't expect it would be that soon.
Very laid back. Good people. Good school. Honored to be a student! Good luck and yes, it took me forever to get an interview also! Maybe they save the best until last???? Just making a joke to placate myself!I got a secondary on August 4th and submitted it a few days later. Woke up this morning to an II for this Monday, leaving me little time to prep!
Have hope everyone! I have three good friends that currently attend PCOM and they said it took them forever to get their II, also they said that the interview itself is very laid back.
As an OOS'er, I'm hoping I don't get boxed out from the PCOM fun. 2 months so far...Very laid back. Good people. Good school. Honored to be a student! Good luck and yes, it took me forever to get an interview also! Maybe they save the best until last???? Just making a joke to placate myself!
Mine's scheduled for this Thursday the 19th. Thankfully I live close to campus 😉congrats! when is your interview btw? I got the email today too and its scheduled for next Friday. Didn't expect it would be that soon.
Also have an II on Thursday the 19th! Any advice from people that already interviewed?
Submitted primary early/mid-October, received secondary yesterday (11/12), will have secondary submitted tonight (11/13).
3.6 GPA/ 3.65 sGPA - 511 MCAT
Fingers crossed.
What is a II? Does that mean interview? (Don't make fun of me haha)
Thanks for the info! Patience is tough when it's your first choice, you work for a PCOM grad, and he asks often if you've heard yet 😉 But this whole journey of becoming a doctor is a really long one, so patience is something I could definitely afford to work on!My friend is an ambassador and mentioned that they have missed a lot of interview dates because of the pope visiting, the PCOM president was inaugurated and next week is break so they are missing almost two weeks with Thanksgiving coming up. They have to catch up on interviews and it may not be until next year. Patience is the name of the game
Would anyone know what the acceptance rate is like earlier on in the cycle? Didn't feel particularly great after the interview early October. My interview didn't feel conversational at all. More like question and answer and my interviewers all had straight faces the entire time.
