I just called and asked and they told me the only updates they accept are new mcat scores and transcript updates. I just submitted a paper for peer review for which I'm first author so I was really hoping that could be added to my application, but they said they won't do it. 🙁

If I follow correctly, you have an interview.

Why are you worried? You'll have the opportunity to bring all your new research up during the session and the folks interviewing you will make note of it upon committee review.

Ah no -- I didn't realize the person asking meant they had an interview -- my fault! I don't have an interview yet, so that's why I'm bummed that they won't accept that update.

Sorry I don't know the answer to that. Maybe someone else on here does. I do know that people were given acceptances off the wait list as soon as one week before orientation started in August.

If you didn't do your AACOMAS update yet, you might be able too - look into it? Not 100% sure when the deadline is but if you want to include your research, its an option.

Did it take a long time for MCAT scores to be uploaded? I submitted my secondary a couple of weeks ago and my letters were added shortly after but my MCAT still hasn't been loaded.

It took me two weeks when I submitted my mcat to aacomas in May. They were having a glitch in their system. Hopefully it's faster now.

Have hope everyone! I have three good friends that currently attend PCOM and they said it took them forever to get their II, also they said that the interview itself is very laid back.

Obviously, know your application (what you wrote for your primary/secondary). I remember that I mentioned a hobby and my interviewer remembered that I wrote about it in my primary, but I completely blanked on what I wrote.

You should also probably have an answer to what differentiates DOs from MDs. You might not be asked the question, but there's also a possibility you might.

Otherwise, the whole day was really laid back so try and relax! The interviews are the last part of the day, but try and take a deep breath.

Thanks for the info! Patience is tough when it's your first choice, you work for a PCOM grad, and he asks often if you've heard yet 😉 But this whole journey of becoming a doctor is a really long one, so patience is something I could definitely afford to work on!

I felt the same way after my interview :/ Definitely nervous to see the result

I have a question for applicants that have submitted more than one MCAT score .
On you application summary to PCOM, for the "MCAT scores" line, does it say the test date for your first test date or most recent test date?

Would anyone know what the acceptance rate is like earlier on in the cycle? Didn't feel particularly great after the interview early October. My interview didn't feel conversational at all. More like question and answer and my interviewers all had straight faces the entire time.

If it's any consolation mine felt the same way and I was accepted.
