has anyone heard from robert wood johnson med school that had an interview within the past month or two? I know that the adcom met this past thurs (Feb 5) and I wanted to know if anyone received a call on thursday night?

I am hoping that the calls weren't made yet. 🙄

hey i received an acceptance to Robert Wood on Feb 5th via phone call. Friday i received the acceptance package via snail mail. Best of luck with everything.

I went to an open house at RWJ about a month ago. My student tour guide told everyone that she was waitlisted and if someone did not show up on the first day of orientation then the last spot was hers.

She got the call at 7am the DAY OF, to get to Campus by 8:30 for the white coat ceremony.

So anything can happen.

thanks for the hope. I called up the admissions office today and they said that I will be reviewed on Feb. 19 and should receive a decision by Feb. 20, so i guess my week of worrying was all for nothing.

I just called RWJ admissions office and the lady said I'd be up for review this thursday! I thought they reviewed every other thursday...go figure.

well I hope all of us get a phone call thurs evening 😀

wolverine-are you sure? I am pretty sure they only meet every other thursday.

When I talked to them, they said they don't meet again till the 19th. So everyone needs to relax till the 19th. 🙂

maybe i heard wrong then...but all i know is that it's going to be up for review on thursday...

i had my interview on dec. 23rd.

ok update....I called the admissions office again. the lady told me that since I'm on the "very competive pool" we get review every 3 weeks and regular review board is every other week.

so....if you're in the "very competitive pool" then your file will probably be up for review tomorrow.

wolverine-did you receive one of those letters in the mail stating that you are still a competitive candidate and that you just need to wait?

ya i got a letter saying that i've been placed in the competitive pool and i'd have to wait for a final decision...

How soon after your interview did you receive this "competitive" letter? I interviewed on Feb 3 and have not heard of anything. RWJ is my first choice school so I already sent in a LOI.

It's only been a week! Get ready to be in for the long haul. I heard 8 weeks later. I interviewed at a very similar time to wolverine.

littledoc...try not to freak out too much. i heard some ppl don't receive the phone call till the next day. however, you can just call the admissions office tomorrow morn to make sure.

why would some poeple get the call on thursday and some poeple get the call on friday?
