I was like, a month into vet school (when I still went to class) when one of my classmates kinda sidled up to me and was like... "Hey...Are you Trilt?"

Day 10

Just over 12 hours earlier...

Tommy Oliver donned his Green Ranger suit, preparing to go out and grab his target. He had big plans for tonight, had thought through every eventuality and decided this was the best course of action. He was going to make sure everyone hit exactly their intended target. But as he opened his door, several anvils fell from the ceiling. He had to jump backwards into his room to avoid being crushed, and he was stuck there for the rest of the night. He cursed and spent the night pacing his room, the stress about what might be happening in the rest of the hotel climbing inside him and keeping sleep at bay.

Elsewhere, Darkwing Duck peeked around corners and held his gas gun at the ready. Soon he stood outside Kim Possible's door, though he did not know that was who she was. He just knew she seemed...suspicious. Worthy of death, perhaps. But something compelled him to find another door, another target. We already know how that story ended.

But what neither Darkwing nor the cartoons at large realized was that Kim Possible had been following him all night long, keeping a watchful eye in case anyone should try to harm him. Ironic, that he had been so close to killing her. And Darkwing was followed by another figure too, one who blended into the shadows. One who knew, just before his own untimely death, who Darkwing really was...

Present Time


The remaining few cartoons gathered in the grand hall of the hotel, each trying to convince the others that they were good, loyal members of the It Takes A Village collective, while also keeping enough distance from each other to be able to make a quick getaway. Accusations flew in every direction, shouts about who could claim credit for killing villains, and who could be responsible for the great orchid mystery.

A loud bang and crash interrupted the arguments, and silence fell just before Optimus Prime emerged from the hotel basement where someone had kept him trapped for several days. He plucked a nearby flower from where it had fallen on the floor.

"An orchid. Hmmm," he crushed it in his metallic hand, "Smells of deception. You!" he shouted, pointing a finger at Pebbles, "You aren't quite who you say you are, are you?"

"I don't know what you mean," said the innocent girl, but as the other cartoons watched, the form of the littlest Flintstone began to waver before their eyes.

"Show yourself!" Optimus Prime shouted, and suddenly Pebbles disappeared entirely. There was a sound of creaking metal, and from around a pillar emerged another huge robot, all sharp angles and accented with red and black. Evil radiated from him in waves. He laughed in the direction of his old nemesis.

"How did you manage to escape, Optimus?"

"Nevermind that," said the leader of the autobots, "Why did you lock me up?"

"Well I couldn't have the real Optimus Prime running around if I was going to masquerade as him," said Megatron, "But in the end I decided something smaller and more innocent would be even better. Hologram technology is amazing these days."

"But wait, I still don't understand," said Gogo Dodo. "If you're a Transformer, then what the heck is up with the orchids?"

Megatron laughed again, "You all really fell hard for that one didn't you? The orchids were fake. Just a red herring. And one that worked very, very well might I add."

"It doesn't matter now," said Optimus Prime, "You are finished here,"

Several other autobots arrived and escorted Megatron away. No one saw the smirk on his robot face as he was forced out of the hotel.

Dead is @supershorty, Megatron, a wolf who could redirect a player every night but could not assign their new target

The remaining cartoons stood dumbfounded and relieved. It would take some time to gather themselves, but they would continue to do the work of the It Takes A Village collective, and they would take the necessary steps to have excessive violence removed from children's television programming. Their fallen comrades would have been proud.

VILLAGE WINS

"But wait," said Kim Possible, breaking the exhausted silence that had fallen in the hall, "There's...only three of us here now. Me, Darkwing, Green Ranger...Where did that other guy go? And where the heck is Bugs Bunny anyway, shouldn't we do something about all the lies he was trying to spread?" The three companions looked around, but there was no sign of Gogo Dodo or Bugs.


Miles away, Gogo skipped along the road, a bunny ear headband on his head. That had been the most entertaining cartoon convention yet.
