I wasn't implying you guys were all wolfing together lol. I was saying I thought it was strange that shorty would sit on the same vote as two people she was throwing shade on. And yeah tons of people make joke votes, but if you are actively participating on thread and have suspicions about others why continue to sit on your joke vote if you're working for village?

I'm not feeling a lot of rush to change my joke vote when there's still almost all of today left to do so, but I do intend to change it to a real one when I finish writing this post.

I do still think cray sounds more wolfy than villagey based on the previous games I've read, but I'm not confident enough in that feeling to vote to yeet her yet.


So, if I follow your logic here - and I'm probably misinterpreting it, so feel free to call me an idiot noob:
I said that I think mayo is wolfy and that because Z is following him like a little duckling, that that gave me slight wolfy vibes from him too. They did both jump on the joke vote with me, but mayo and I were teammates in the noob game that triggered my joke vote in the first place.

If all 3 of us were wolves now, what exactly would be the benefit of my bussing 2 people out of a 4-5 person pack this early in the game?

April is giving me village vibes because she doesn't sound all that different from her other games, and she's been village each time. I think her helping the noobs is just her being nice. I read her wrong in the bread game and thought she was wolfy when she wasn't.

I'm still sticking with a village read on AM. Genny and kras also seem villagey to me based on their interactions with AM. I don't have strong reads on anyone else yet.

Because I don’t have a wolf read on Mayo. I don’t necessarily have a village read either. Just a “strong personality” read which isn’t really a give away one way or the other.

My logic, at least at the time was, if Mayo pushes to yeet someone, and they turn out to be village, well, then that’s pretty substantial information. And since my first vote is pretty much going to be a gamble anyway, it might as well be one that tells me something about both whoever we yeet and Mayo on the other side.

But realistically I’ll probably have a better idea of who I’m actually voting this evening.

Sure. So I originally had a very slight wolf read on mayo because I thought he was trying to pocket Lainey and Z with some of his earlier posts (particularly the "follow my lead, I'll never lead you astray" post #78), but I have in my notes that I thought I could be putting too much weight on that and I would keep an eye on his future posts. I had a flag go up mentally because he'd offered some gentle help to the noobs, but then when April did the same, he threw her affiliation into question:

I agree. It makes me lean LaineyLou toward village and April towards wolf. Giving simple game mechanics advice is a nice way to appear helpful to a noob without actually helping them catch a wolf.

As I mentioned before, I have April as a village read now because I don't really see a difference in her play in this game so far compared to the noob game, apocalypse, or breadsticks - but I know she's never wolfed either, so unless her play style changed dramatically, I'm not sure I'd know this early. But mayo mentioning that he was leaning wolf for her based on her helping the noobs, paired with his own helping them, was a little odd to me.

I'm not confident in that read at all - it's weak, and teasing out wolfy play vs village play is still something I'm learning. This is only my second game and the first time I've been village, so I don't even know my OWN village meta yet

I'll do another post for my thoughts on prints because I want to go ISO their posts in the noob game.

Mayo could also push to yeet someone because he got wolf vibes from them even though they are a villager. Statistically if you don't have much information you are more likely to yeet a villager at random over a wolf

Not necessarily - keep in mind that villagers don't know for certain who the other villagers are and might accidentally yeet one, especially considering the wolf/villager ratio. It's very common, and sometimes it's NAI, sometimes it's not.

Usually it's best to use your own judgement to base your yeet and not someone else's. That's not to say you can't agree with someone else's logic, but make sure their logic is sound and you're not just following their lead

I'd like to see more from them. They really didn't get much time in play in the noob game before they got killed, so my ISO turned out not to be that helpful - but it also makes me a little more forgiving of the defensive reaction in their first post on this thread.

For now, I see this as a noob overreaction, but it is a little questionable that they haven't had any substantial posts since then. They've only made 3 posts on this thread so far. Nothing openly wolfy to me so far, but my opinion could change depending on what/if they post more today.

mayo: I initially thought maybe wolfy read for coming on strong, but I too thought it was too obvious so must be village. But I also had that vague feeling about some of the things they did early in cartoon noob game (my only point of reference for anyone's play style) and they ultimately flipped wolf. my current mayo read is undetermined.

zenge: I think i'm just getting a noob read, with possible slight wolf lean. Not really sure why they're still following mayo on yeeting me when its been pointed out as a salty joke vote, but maybe they think i'm beign defensive on that front. I'll probably change my vote to be kind to noobs on D1, but I don't have a preferred choice quite yet [oops i saw while typing this that they unyeeted me, so idk anymore, but leaving this in for transparency]

I thought the defensive bit was a little sus. Could have just been an overreaction, but it’s something to go on, and I don’t have a lot at the moment.

I also have strong village reads for both you and VIS (Cray I could go either way on), meaning I’m not interpreting this as wolves piling on but village trying to make a best guess, and I can agree with the interpretation. I don’t think it’s the strongest evidence of anything, but it’s something.
