But we weren't talking about the bodyguard role... we were talking about why a wolf protector trying to gain legit village cred doesn't make sense because it would just be a WIFOM argument. The point being that if Barks was a wolf protector, then the credit she would get for protecting Samac N1 is based on WIFOM at best and shouldn't carry much weight.
I know. My statement about alleys was an example from my previous statement: people assume that abilities = affiliation.
The conventional view and the rest of my post were talking about barky. Yes the conventional view is WIFOM, but that’s how wolf protectors can exploit to get miscleared. That’s the advantage i’m talking about. You’re right it shouldn’t carry weight but we have precedents where wolf protectors have taken advantage of the flaws of the conventional view and win.
It’s just imo, exploiting the conventional view is more advantageous than saving the sinking ship. You’re arguing the opposite because keeping the pack together is important even if the packmate is going to be yeeted the next day.

I don't completely disagree, my point is that it's a weighted argument and a risk/benefit assessment. If a pack knows they've got extra killing power it would benefit them more to keep as many wolves alive as possible to get those kills off than waste a 1x ability (if that's even true) to try and gain village credit through some WIFOM that's going to continually raise suspicion. It just doesn't make sense.
For a real answer, literally all I know is that you have the ability that you claim to have. What am I supposed to do with that? You know that's not AI.
Well it's kind of a meta thing, Zenge is known to die early, all the time, but especially when he's been cleared. We could have the exact same VCA and he dies before me. And it's not a secret, it's talked about a lot, he won the Most Likely to Die N1 AWWard his first year playing and got runner up last year.
It is known that leaving him alive has been a fatal mistake for multiple wolf packs.
Anyway it's not just that, it's also that we have nothing to work with besides the claim, like I have zero things to call her village for, and a few that look pretty bad (all the pushback on the Vissy yeet for instance).
Idk. I literally don't have the brainpower left for this right now, I don't have a really good way to parse things out between her and the others. I just have a bunch of dead villagers who still had her in their POEs even after the claim, which doesn't mean they're right but it does make it feel worth pursuing.
"I had a dream that I had complete freedom, no obligation to anyone but myself..."
With the luau rapidly approaching, the island was starting to hum with excitement. The annual celebration was the only time the governor came to see the people of Stardew Valley, or the transplants to Ginger Island, and it was crucial that they make a good impression. They tucked their best crops into the pantry for later, or for snacking on, while continuing to sell the others and slowly build up their farms. The clucks of chickens had been heard throughout the island for a few days, but now, there were occasional bleats from livestock as well. It truly was beginning to feel like home.
Not all animal sounds were comforting.
The crows had been amassing around the island for days, even getting bold enough to approach people. No one paid them much mind - after all, crows were just a part of nature and to be expected. They like shiny things (who doesn't?) and would sometimes pick at discarded food in the dumpster behind the barn. Free shrugs.
The farmers returned to their homes after a long night of planting, and that's when the plague began. A sea of gleaming black feathers descended upon their fields, directly over the freshly tilled rows that had been lovingly tended to throughout the night. Enraged battle cries tore from the throats of farmers as the crows ripped the seeds from the ground, swallowing them with a quick flick of the head.
Shane had the smallest of smiles hearing the soft clucks coming from surrounding farms. He loved chickens and dreamed of establishing his own chicken castle some day, although that day was far in the future because he'd chosen to spend his money in other ways.
He didn't know how far that day truly was.
Shane had always been surly, sometimes uncooperative, and that was no different with his move to the island. All the bright sunlight wasn't enough to cure his depression, and the toy he'd bought for himself wasn't either - he kept forgetting he'd purchased it, and then he struggled to read the instructions. Poor thing.
He just wanted a simple life. Chickens, pepper poppers, and beer - what more could a guy need? He didn't want to deal with all this nonsense of people trying to put underwear in soup, or forcing people to go back home. He wanted to be an enigma - his favorite trick was to give people a recipe for a strange bun, implying that he liked it, and then act disgusted if they gave it to him. That was Shane for you.
He'd finally decided it was time to give his new toy a spin and dusted it off. He had waited for the perfect opportunity and decided this was it. But in the chaos of the bird bonanza that descended on the town, something happened. He was found the next morning, surrounded by feathers and droppings, with a scream permanently etched into his facial features.
Dead is...
"Life isn't so bad... at least I have frozen pizza and eggs."
