You know what? I think there are no wolves in this game. I think the scum are all "lone wolves," or scummy 3p, i.e. cannibals, and I think they potentially absorb the power of whomever they chow down on, hence seeing people's roles after they've eaten them.
I think zenge is one and he was hunting for a PR reveal. I think stoat is potentially one. I know how much she's wanted to be scum of some sort and I think her overreaction to kdswg's post was wanting to not get yoten early because she's finally scum.

I don't know if they can absorb multiple PRs. Maybe just one.

I don't have much to expand on. I think it would be overpowered to have a wolf pack plus cannibals. So, I think there are no wolves, only cannibals working independently (maybe three or so?). I found it a little "hmm" for Dubz to post in the sign-ups that everyone was a vanillager unless told otherwise; it seemed odd. Then for her to mention this game would be interesting, as well as saying all the SPN games have been mechanically broken in one way or another... Clearly this game isn't basics. There's something very different about it. So my tinfoil is village is trying to sniff out the cannibals.

I would like to revisit these posts. I can’t say I’m a fan of what pshelty is doing with this train of thought. I don’t think we should get caught up in 3P hunting until we have caught wolves. It gave me icky vibes

Well let me pare it down for you, cause im having issues with this:

So I’m currently feeling okay about Samac, pleasy, and pshelty (in that order). Zenge seems to be a tiny bit more on his village side, but I also hate his opening post and how he’s going about that claim. Ace seemed a bit odd to me but idk if we played together before (like if he participated in bowwling?) and I wasn’t a huge fan of fluffy’s posts earlier. Stoat, AM, kdswg, and cubs are ??? right now.

Pleasy’s questioning of Zenge and actually daring to question his logic rather than just accepting he was village.

Because he came in, claimed seer, and then just expected none of us to question it in a giant essay post. And for the most part all we did was accept it and joke about it. I also REALLY don’t like that the mods legit said “don’t use role-revealing to solve the game, it won’t work” and Zenge immediately role-revealed. Just kinda rubbed me the wrong way and it wasn’t how I like to start games. I like working our way up to long posts and ISOs. I really only like role-revealing when someone is in danger of being yeeted.

Also it wasn’t what I wanted to see first-thing at 7am so I was a bit annoyed. Like “damn it, I have to actually think super early today and use my brain.” That part is a joke but I definitely wasn’t conscious for my first 2 read throughs of that post.

All the dried and withered blooms have a sort of forlorn grace with the dusting of snow. Even the crappy parking lot foliage looks pretty.

Maybe its not AI, but this reminds me of the noob game, when you posted that picture of the snowy landscape after you'd gone for a walk and people were yeeting you. Somehow it makes me feel better about you.

Hm. I actually wanted to post that I agree that she's slightly more reserved this game but I've liked her logic so far.
Although, she hasn't really pushed anyone except for Ace a little bit, and I don't know if it's really because Ace didn't engage or she just wanted to have a vote on the board cause she's wolfing.

I figured out what was bothering me. It was the discussion about calling Zenge’s play lazy. I strongly disagree with that phrasing. Zenge has done a lot of things as a player but I wouldn’t call it lazy at all.

I’m inclined to believe him. But it’s hard for me to clear him out on one post, just cause he said so, because wolf!Zenge wouldn’t do that etc etc.
Above all, I dislike that he role revealed this early; it feels like a lazy way to game-solve, and claiming seer essentially puts him in a position to determine who’s on his village bloc and who’s out. So I’m taking it with a grain of salt.

This is the post I had issues with.

Probably not cause they are repercussions to claiming. I’m mostly interested to see what those are.

Seemed like she was trying to hint at something bad would happen to Zenge for role revealing. Unsure if she meant a game mechanic or something else.

Why? I thought that was the general feeling about WW, game solving by mechanics is bad.

Also this is not really accurate and I think fluff should know the distinction by now of relying solely on mechanics vs using it as one piece of the puzzle to catching wolves.

Story time: in my role PM, I mused that Samac's vote on Ace was interesting and I wrote a little tinfoil that when she's a wolf, she's likelier to vote on a noob. Samac tends to play with a little bit of psychology mixed into her game strategy, and she definitely must be considering the cognitive bias people have against the "other"; it makes her votes innocuous at the beginning, and noobs aren't very good at self-defense. They also don't have a meta or established group of peers to draw on for support. If she's village, she is likelier to circle around and possibly vote on established/veteran players. Also... I think Samac is smart enough to recognize that Ace was joking? And she is also smart enough to seize the opportunity a joke provides?

Then Zenge said he found that Ace's play pings him too and I was like "well nevermind, I don't think he's a wolf at all and I'm just being dumb/pro-noob again, better keep mum and ask about the Ace sus"

THEN Cub showed up on thread. He has a simpatico with Samac that far exceeds most players. If he comes in D1, reads the thread, and think "eesh this is weird, vote Samac" then tbh I'll sheep that.

There's some inconsistencies between posts that I'm not liking.
Also, just so we're clear, I'm not necessarily trying to 3p hunt. I don't think it's the wildest conclusion to come to given what Dubz has hinted at about the setup of this game. It doesn't matter that much to me anyway because I'm going to yeet whoever seems scummiest. Doesn't really matter to me what sort of scum they are.

Is there anyone you're suspecting?

Not people I'm suspecting, but people I've formed some thoughts about:

Stoat: I was rereading the kdswg and Stoat interaction. I don't see the tone thing kdswg mentioned. Stoat got upset but I can totally understand that it's now the 3rd time Kdswg votes for her D1, so its justified for her to be upset and "overreacting". Some here mentioned that with Genny last game it was different, but I was scared she was a wolf that game based on her reaction, but she wasn't. I've also really liked her questioning and thought process she's put on thread so far. Also, another thing, I don't think wolf!Stoat would be so enthusiastic to PM with you, samac or Zenge.

kdswg: I'd almost vote for Kdswg for her random stoat vote but her reaction afterwards made me feel like she's also village.

PSV: I feel PSV hasn't engaged much, except saying she has "thoughts" on people that she doesn't want to engage with and some tinfoils.

Cubs, Pleasy : I feel good about cubs, esp him voting samac. I feel good about pleasy too.

AM: I like your questioning people, and it seems very on brand with the way you play. I can't see how annoyance to Zenge's post would indicate wolfiness, but oh well.

alley: I don't like alley's questioning my posts all of a sudden, cause I felt we were on the same page about Zenge, so I'm sus about that.
