Yup, I'm 3 hours behind east coast time. Currently 7:35... I post when I can. Especially since I work 12 hour shifts that end at 7PM (10PM east cost). I'll likely not be present during lynch end. Contingencies are fine. Post when and as you can. It is why you see LIS post dump at once in these games. I'll do the same.

But it is up to you if you want to give it a shot. It doesn't bother me but then I'll tell people off who get annoying about the "why hasn't so and so posted yet".
 
I'm on break currently aka not actually constantly on the interwebs procrastinating so.... I'll just lurk 🙂 add me to spectator chat when one gets going please.

I love when it's like 11 AM on a Tuesday and people are complaining someone hasn't checked in since the 7 AM night close. 😛

Fixing for @NSFW and putting @Doctor-S in @Trilt 's spot on the sign up sheet since she didn't want to play. Also untagging nyanko because there's only so many times you can be paged before you want to kill a person

The sun was rising on the Pridelands and everything was right in the circle of life. However, from the shadows something stirred. Evil had awoken, and dark thoughts have creeped into someone's mind. This new darkness threatens to dismantle the kingdom! Every animal and resource is called upon to fight this new threat!

Day and night cycles are 12 hours. Days close at 9PM EST and nights close at 9AM EST.

It is now Day 1. Lynch closes at 9PM EST Monday April 24th.

There is no PMing unless stated in your role description. Also, roles that were sent out only included your role name as the title so everyone is on the same page. Please stick around in dead chat if you are able. Editing is allowed but please don't edit lynch votes.

Either RNG had a sense of humour or there was a bit of modly intervention in role distribution. :laugh:

This sounds like a conversion game/wolves RNGed to roles 🙁.

If one of the main characters that isn't Scar or the hyenas starts as a wolf, I'm going to be a little upset.

That's not how I interpreted that, I just took it as Scar starting to plot his rise to king.

Lynch cheater

Just getting a vote on the board so I can go back to cramming toxicology. I need to memorize all the toxic plants. :hungover::bigtears::drowning:

Can I get a reason why for the random lynch? If it's because of my username.. not really a solid reason. It was used as a reason to lynch me in the immuno game. It was a waste of a lynch and it will be in his game as well.

To be honest, most Day 1 votes start off random but are used to put pressure on players. I wouldn't worry too much about a single lynch vote. Unless, of course, it gains traction for silly reasoning.

I blasted the soundtrack this morning when I was getting ready for work. Have I mentioned this might be my favorite Disney movie? (Which, let's be real, means it might be my favorite overall movie).

I remember from my first WW, cops were wolves and criminals were villagers. And in the Peter Pan game Hook wasn't a wolf, so who knows?

Someday the RNG gods are going to smile upon villager me and I will get to wolf...today is not that day...sadly

I read that part the same way as Jil. I know how Coop feels about this movie, so I'd imagine she's holding pretty true to the source material.

I read that part more as artistic license, but I suppose you could be right -- I'm not sure how deliberate Coop is planning to be with her wording. Although on the flip side, there are a lot of possibilities for animals to choose from, and resources (except territory, I guess?) don't really play much of a role in the movie. So I dunno.

I have to give a stupid presentation today on stupid dairy sire selection (holy snooze...) but I'll be around more this evening.
 
Checking in between classes, since I may not be able to get on until tonight maybe.

I also didn't read much into the "dark thoughts" line. Could always be a curveball with the roles, but for now I'm just expecting the straightforward (Scar...) I wonder if Coopah would go into deep lore 😉

Well ghost mufasa does appear in the movie, so I wonder if the dead are going to be giving advise in the writeups or something..

I thought the resources was referring to items, but could be wrong.

I think several people did in the end. I just remember it was brought up during an on thread argument. I wanna say it was a Trilt game or Trilt was a heavy player at that point. I was paying enough attention to those details so likely I played too. I would guess, one of the last 2 I played.
