This also makes me wonder about Pippy because she knew about Trilt's name and brought up Trilt's role claim not matching role description

Might have the timing wrong though as I think Trilt might have said she was Sarabi before the attack happened. This is what I get for just posting my thoughts without re reading

No I'm pretty sure trilt only claimed Sarabi on thread AFTER the night she was attacked. But will double check.

So, are we saying that either:

Lyra attacked Trilt, the attack failed, proves Trilt isn't a lion because Trilt has no death avoidance. She claimed to be a lion before we knew that Lyra could kill lions. So, either the wolves bought themselves an extra day because the wolves knew that Trilt was looking sketchy and so "cleared" her with an attack knowing she wouldn't die.

Or Lyra didn't know that Trilt wasn't a lion, attacked, failed, Trilt claimed lion, and Trilt really isn't but is acting alone/chaos/neutral non-village?

Or there is some other explanation for this s***. Of course some other wolf (not Lyra) could be able to kill some other way and the extra kill fails a certain percentage of the time or something like that and that's how Trilt was only injured?

but the possibility of having a wolf attack another pack member is blowing my mind right now.
 
First, great catch on trilt, Kara, seems a little sketchy. Also it appears others were right that the wolves were likely given a list of possible cover roles, so role claims mean nothing. Pippy is now officially at the top of my suspect list, and I think it's totally plausible that Lyra attacked a fellow wolf (trilt), so she's back on my suspect list.

Really, Jil? I tried to get Lyra shot days ago, while you were trying to keep her alive under the pretense that role names were basically the same thing as affiliation. Can you please explain your logic about why I'm your top suspect right now?
 
N1 - BBC/Ferny (The Watering Hole) killed, Genny (Kovu) killed Genny/Kovu - LION
N3 - kcough and hazel killed Hmoo/Nala - LION
N6 - Snowy killed Trilt attacked? Trilt/Sarabi - should be a lion, yet she didn't die. Curious.
N7 - Cheat & DVMD killed Cheat/Mufasa - LION

Just going back over the nights with two kills to make sure there was a lion in each group, and there was. So I doubt the wolves had a different extra kill method, and Trilt is looking mighty suspect right now.

Great way to get villager cred, especially when you knew I would likely speak up for her given I thought we had similar roles.

Pretty sure Lyra wasn't leading when Kata finally took the shot.
 
I could totally see wolves using their extra kill to attack one of their own, knowing it wouldn't work. Why the hell else would they attack trilt? At best she's lying about her role and is chaos, at worst she is a wolf. And I honestly doubt that chaos would have been given cover roles too.

She was also suspected by a lot of people, so it would be smart for a wolf to jump on that vote. If she was shot, which she almost was, that would give you some good village cred. It's a smart wolf move.

Dude, I was leading that vote, not "jumping on it". And it would be infinitely stupid for a wolf to try to get village cred at the expense of losing a double kill ability like that.
 
I'm currently doing a re-read and right now Pippy I'm finding it odd that you had Lyra as leaning wolf but stuck with 3m who you had as neutral with some sketch. This was after NSFW self-voted when Lyra was in the lead

I wanted to get 3M talking, since she is one of the people who I can read relatively well when she posts enough stuff. And in the last game, I had Lyra down as solid village up until the point she got lynched as a wolf, so wasn't sure if I was misinterpreting this time around.

I don't know, there seems to be a lot of protection built into this game. Snowy as a full protector, Cheat as a bodyguard, Deva with night kill avoidance -- there's a lot in place to offset extra kills.

Full protector usually exists in games with only typical numbers of wolf kills, so that's a wash. Cheat could only guard one person, and only every other night, so that maybe partially offsets a (potential) extra kill every other night. And Deva only had what, a 33% chance of avoiding the night kill?

Not saying it's impossible but never seen a wolf pack with two sources of extra kills in a game that doesn't have a resurrector or something.

To me these contradict each other. You thought she sounded like a wolf yet you were unsure because the previous game you had her down as solid village when she was a wolf?

I read her totally wrong last time, so when I was sketched this time, I wasn't confident that my early read was correct. So instead, I voted for someone who I can read more confidently. Are you saying I was supposed to be completely, totally sure about all my reads on D1? She also claimed the role later on that day, which made me wonder if I was wrong and wait before lynching her. A lot of people had that reaction, so I'm not sure why you think it's somehow more sketchy in my case.

I'm not saying you had to be sure of your reads. No one ever is. It's the fact that you came on did a post analysis dump found Lyra to be more sketchy than 3m but then didn't vote for her. You took the time to do a lengthy analysis, come to the conclusion that Lyra nets sketchier than 3m, didn't mention you were sticking with 3m because you can read her better all while Lyra is in the lead and NSFW is providing a lovely distraction to save her. That is why I am finding this sketchy.

Edit: Lyra claimed that role really close to lynch close after you had posted your analysis

I don't know if conversion is applicable in this game, but it seems highly unlikely there are any converts as of now. Game would be over.

So how do you explain me then wanting to break that egg later on, and putting my money where my mouth was? And why aren't you looking at the people who voted for that distraction? Because I'm looking real hard at some of the people on that NSFW lynch.

Really? You're a good wolf and any wolf can do that for village cred. I don't put nearly as much weight on that as I used to. Don't get me wrong, I'm looking at Jil and Kata too. You're just netting sketchier than they are right now

Side note -- why does everyone suddenly think I'm a good wolf? I've been a wolf once, during which time I got the other 2 wolves killed, and then almost got my own self killed in the middle of the game while I misfired on about 4 night kills in a row. I was a terrible wolf :laugh:

I was curious because I have a good idea of who cheat protected so that person has backing for their role, but if another person claimed it who cheat hadn't protected it would make me suspicious, as both a young and an old Simba would still count as Mufasa's son and in my mind both would have had to been protected at some point or another in the game instead of just the one person. Hence, if we have a Simba claimer who's never wlbeen protected then in my mind they are likely to be a wolf

I should clarify I don't mean both would have been protected simultaneously necessarily, but rather that I'm thinking who was protected would have been RNGed and my hope would be that RNG would be forgiving enough to not select the same player for protection every odd night

I don't want to make assumptions when I don't know all the game circumstances but by n2 there were 3 dead villagers to choose from and that's all I'll say about that.

I like your theory. I think probably everyone here picked up on the fact that I'm Simba so I have no problem saying it (doubt I'll live much longer anyway). I received cheat's protection every odd night. And I know who is claiming Young Simba.
