If any of you made a mistake like i did last year and only applied to texas schools, then a lot of you are going to be really upset tonight at midnight as you find out that you have no school to study at in august. and wait lists don't move in texas.

good luck and apply far and wide next year if you reapply.

BTW, 16 degrees and snowing in Amarillo, I can't wait to get off of the tundra of Northwest Texas. Nice town but damn it's been cold this year.

tehe. Anyhow Anastasis, I read a previous post of your's. You made a great decision. I understand that you would be torn between the two schools---UT-H and UTSA, but Houston is fantastic and you are in the center of it all!!!! Congrats again to you and the other deserving students!
 
I'm hoping for UTSA :love: ....or UTMB love or A&M love or Tech....

Sure there's minor differences in my hopes, but damnit I just want to go to med school.

Not only that, but the Texas president infiltrated the United States of America's top leadership ranks and is now screwing up our neighboring country on purpose, pretending to be a stupid monkey!!!!

Plus, let's face it, if you don't get into one of the EIGHT (8!!) Texas schools, it would be pretty hard to get in out of state.

I applied out of state and did not get a single reply, yet I got 3 acceptances within texas.

Yes, it's good to apply broadly just in case, but your best bet is still within Texas.

I want to stay also, but in the end I put my future above my school location, thus I applied so that I could get in at least somewhere and I plan to come back for residency later. I'm waiting for A&M and Tech but I really don't feel comfortable with the match tonight. I have the feeling I'm going out of state, but that's better than nothing.

I don't mean to be cold, but I'm serious, tell your friends who are applying next cycle to apply to schools out of state.

This is the advice your advisors should be giving you but they dont.
