Yeah but there are a LOT of california people on this website. I would assume that the actual list might be about double this right now...
Can you BELIEVE that they are STILL interviewing? and that they chose to interview people that were initially rejected when so many of us are waitlisted?

Congrats on your acceptance to BU! If I was following the story right, you were on hold or their waitlist right?

I was just about to send my letter of intent to them today when I got a fat envelope from them in the mail.

Respond to BU by taking the offer before May 31st, and then wait and see if you get accepted off the UCLA waitlist before either the BU or UCLA orientation. I think many of us are in the same boat..have a school to attend but waitlisted at our top choice, UCLA!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />
 
Add me to the list. BTW I'm from U of Nebraska. Does anybody know what they mean by an unranked waitlist? Does that mean that we all are on equal footing and they just randomly select someone, or do they review all the files again each time a seat opens up?

Anyone else knows?

It's a bit depressing to see the list keep growing instead of shrinking. 🙁 24 so far.
 
ah, geez, my letter to Dr. Parker was just returned to me three weeks after I mailed it ("Unable to Forward"???). I called the admissions office and the nice lady - yay! - said it would not matter, just to resend it. So I guess they haven't started carefully reading our letters yet or making any decisions .... this sux!

Sorrento, the worst comes, we just matriculate at Davis.. :wink:
 
Bumping it to the top. 🙂

Just a brief update: the school has placed "definitely way over 100 BUT still under 200 applicants" on the waitlist. The lady refused to answer if the number's closer to the 100 end or the 200 end. And, it looks like they have created just one unranked waiting list but it may change once the committee get together and re-look at all of the files in a "couple of weeks".

If what the monotone dude saying is true, we will begin to see some movement starting next week. Sorry Zealous, all we can do at this point is to continue waiting. I'm really sick of this game!! 🙄
 
just bumpin this up...has anyone heard anything recently?
 
I called the admissions office last week and talked to Deanna Moon. She said that waitlist movement will start in June. If my info from my VERY reliable source hold up, movement should begin next week, after the June 15th deadline. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" />
 
I feel so out of it, 😕 but what's the June 15th deadline?

From what I've heard, the June 15th deadline is when students with multiple acceptances who are holding up multiple spots must decide on a final school. 😛
 
I thought May 15th was that deadline...

This gal does not have her info wrong. From the mouth of my VERY reliable source, June 15th is the deadline when students holding spots at UCLA must say whether or not they are going. I am sure of this info for UCLA only, not any other schools 🙂

Well, can anyone with an acceptance to UCLA confirm that they have been told to confirm their intention to attend by june 15th?
 
I got a letter dated June 5th that says they have to recieve a response within two weeks. That's a little past June 15th, but in the ballpark. I hope people hear soon!

UCLA had the same May 15th deadline as every other school. June 15th might just be the date that UCLA expects to have reevaluated the waitlist files by after they received decisions on May 15th.

I called and talked to monotone dude today.

He got confused when I asked a question and just asked for my SS#...he's done that to me 3 times now!

I think that's all he does is when he gets confused asks for your Social Security then continues to say he deons't know anything!

I then asked about the June 15th date and he said it doesn't exist. That date doesn't mean anything for UCLA 🙂

I was thinking about calling the office to ask if "my" file's been reviewed and then ask about the general waitlist movement.
 
i only asked about the general waitlist. please let us know of any new info if you ask her about yours specifically...thanx
