1. I know you've played multiple games before this. I had figured it was a typo autocorrect situation but doubling down on "not knowing you needed to put Lynch in there" feels super weird man.
2. Adding comments in (some of which were literally stated outright by other players, but not by me) and again doubling down on it just feels like trying to push on me. Not digging it. If you'd said, "oh on reread I guess that was Lyra who said that blah blah blah" I would've bought it more but this seriously just feels like pushing on nothing.
3. You can take issue with a phrase I say, that's you're prerogative. But what is the issue with it? I was summarizing what I'd read happen in the thread and stating why it lead me to vote where I did. To summarize again, green said something weird, Allie defended them. Then staff said something weird, pippy defended them. Dy picked out pip for defending, but not Allie. That's what I found weird and why I placed my vote there.

I'm tempted to switch to you right now but don't want to get to retaliatory and see bad intentions just because of bias.

As always, comments about my activity are based on truth and nothing else. Try harder.

LIS, you're hard to read as villager or as a wolf, partly because you pick someone traditionally regarded as "sketch," even when it's their typical behavior, and ride them the whole game. It's a throwaway vote to focus that way. It makes you harder to pick out as a wolf, as happened last game.

Besides that, you add a lot of sharp logic to a WW game. We'll have to see if the balance is more in favor of solid on thread wolf-hunting from you, or typical-LIS-style throwaway votes on the classically sketch, in an attempt to hide your wolfy self. Because if you don't bring your sharp game, the village should consider that they can't afford to take the chance that wolf-you is skating by like that.

I'm glad I said all that before I get wolf-killed N1 like I did last game.

I'm not a fan of "if I were a wolf I would/ wouldn't do X" type logic, because as you say it's WIFOM, there's no way to prove you're not doing the opposite of what's expected to throw people off. That said, which game were you a wolf in? I haven't played with you before, so I may take a look at that.

“If I were a wolf....” is pretty much what Crayola offers every single game. Crayola spends 90% of his/her posts talking about Crayola.

Was feeling the same way but now leaning less towards Cray, cuz she really does these posts every game... Including the last wolf one... So could come back to this tomorrow.

lynch FTB

Allie is still on my sketch list, and has faded off the thread which is also suspicious. Could be swayed that direction.

I really would like to hear more from Allie today to decide if I want to keep my vote there. Also having slight feels for FTB and Crayola, but willing to hold off on Crayola for now if she's always like this.

Following up on what I just kind of suggested in my response to LIS...I am agreeing with you a lot so far, which makes me a little nervous in conjunction with this post where you kind of just regurgitated my logic for switching to FTB. The last sentence of this also kinda sounds like wolfy KC.

I am interested to see how FTB flips; I may come back to you if she is village.

Right now I have a couple strong village marks for you (e.g. point about Crayola trying to push the "oh but I didn't know you had to put 'lynch' in a vote", because wtf was that about) but also a couple strong wolf marks, so I suppose we shall seeeee

I don't have autocorrect, I type on my desktop computer with a keyboard. I have auto-hey-you-spelled-it-wrong-but-no-help.

I don't know Staff well, maybe Pippy does. But Pippy is usually considered sketch, and her defending an unknown quantity, could be read as sketch, because: based on what about Staff is Pippy coming to this conclusion? Nevermind I did read Staff as noob with the comment as well. It's Pippy's defense of the noob that is sketchy to me. That dy thought so as well, isn't odd to me.

Allie can come off as sketch too, but not so much as Pippy, in my limited meta. Greeny is also a noob, but I have some frame of reference (more than with Staff) to feel that Greeny was being typical. That is the data point I have that makes Allie's defense of Greeny less sketch to me than Pippy's of Staff. I don't see where Pippy's conclusion came from, but I can see where Allie's did.

I'm also biased by Pippy's defense of StayPos' noobiness when we all 3 wolfed together a game ago.

While I find all the fault finding with people's typical play sketch in and of itself, and the attack on noobs for noobiness, I can understand where LIS and dy are coming from in all of this. So given that I don't find dy's conclusion odd, but you do, I therefore find you odd on this one.

How's that for analyzing others???

Seriously if you had just explained it like this from the beginning I would have had much less of a problem with it. Explain why you find things sketchy don't just say "that's sketchy" and then put words in people's mouths.

Still not okay with you, but at least you have a reason, whether or not I agree with it.

Yeah, as a noob, it's really hard to read all of this because part these claims seem genuine in trying to spot wolves, but a lot of it just seems to be reaching. I feel like someone here might just be causing chaos (which is an ability a role IIRC?).

Also kcough's lynch change onto someone else seemed weird to me after someone put pressure there. Deflecting perhaps?

Going to re-read later tonight and try to make sense of all of this. Going to see TLJ for a second time shortly (it's really freaking good you guys).

Greeny's comment does totally come off as a wolf with nothing better to say that wants to be seen saying something. But Greeny is prone to those kinds of errors as a villager (making a candid comment that all villagers should know to avoid to avoid confusing people). I agree now with LIS and others who felt it twist their gut a little.

OTOH, even as a noob I have never seen, something about Staff's post seems contrived, versus Greeny who seems candid. Candid wolf vs villager remains to be seen. In any case, contrived always pings me more than any kind of nooby slip up or traditionally "wolfy" things being done by a noob or part of someone's typical play.

Initially since I agreed with Dy's reasoning on Pippy vs Allie, I took it all for granted. I see now what Mel was saying about Dy being aggressive and defensive at the same time. That could be her normal play, and Lord knows I'm guilty of same. But the offer to link to an outside site for meta... just feels contrived on reread.

Now I see that kcough's post essentially agreed with Dy and my feeling on Pippy's defense, but now I see what she was finding fault in, in Dy. Still don't know what to make of that in light of Pippy thinking kcough seemed off for finding fault in FTB (addressed below). Sometimes I have a tendency to back off on people that get aggressive toward me, but that's no way to stand up to a potential wolf for village. Which could be kcough is trying to do thinking I'm a wolf.

At this point, being so confused about everyone else, and not sure what to make of Kcough vs Pippy, I can't read Pippy as much as I can analyze everyone else's read of Pippy. Canary in the goldmine.

Actually, this post from FTB is thoughtful, and so I don't think it can be dismissed as wolfy fluffy "pretend to help village" at this point. Contributing actual thoughts is no more wolfy than all the people who haven't said much so far.

Here's a link to an article I really liked about WIFOM.

Let's talk about WIFOM - MafiaWiki

LOL, the one time I wolfed so many people had me pegged for sure because I didn't sound right, and I wasn't defensive enough. Turns out I can't actually manufacture the overreaction.

Fair point, though. It does help to have honest straightforward (yeah, this is me trying to be straightforward) play as a meta you build for the village.

Summary: LIS is the sort of villager that is so hard to catch when wolfing that he's terrifying. StayPos plays more innocent than she is. Pippy is just pure fun evil. I'm.... Cray cray?

Greeny's comment does totally come off as a wolf with nothing better to say that wants to be seen saying something. But Greeny is prone to those kinds of errors as a villager (making a candid comment that all villagers should know to avoid to avoid confusing people). I agree now with LIS and others who felt it twist their gut a little.

Staff
OTOH, even as a noob I have never seen, something about Staff's post seems contrived, versus Greeny who seems candid. Candid wolf vs villager remains to be seen. In any case, contrived always pings me more than any kind of nooby slip up or traditionally "wolfy" things being done by a noob or part of someone's typical play.

Dy
Initially since I agreed with Dy's reasoning on Pippy vs Allie, I took it all for granted. I see now what Mel was saying about Dy being aggressive and defensive at the same time. That could be her normal play, and Lord knows I'm guilty of same. But the offer to link to an outside site for meta... just feels contrived on reread.

Kcough
Now I see that kcough's post essentially agreed with Dy and my feeling on Pippy's defense, but now I see what she was finding fault in, in Dy. Still don't know what to make of that in light of Pippy thinking kcough seemed off for finding fault in FTB (addressed below). Sometimes I have a tendency to back off on people that get aggressive toward me, but that's no way to stand up to a potential wolf for village. Which could be kcough is trying to do thinking I'm a wolf.

Pippy
At this point, being so confused about everyone else, and not sure what to make of Kcough vs Pippy, I can't read Pippy as much as I can analyze everyone else's read of Pippy. Canary in the goldmine.



FTB
Actually, this post from FTB is thoughtful, and so I don't think it can be dismissed as wolfy fluffy "pretend to help village" at this point. Contributing actual thoughts is no more wolfy than all the people who haven't said much so far.

Sorry. I am oblivious to some things. And notorious for gender-bending. I mean, it isn’t really a game until I have voted for someone who isn’t even playing and butchered their gender at the same time.

With regard to CrayCray, it is meant affectionately, not insultingly.
