From the information available on thread though I find it pretty suspicious to vouch so strongly for someone based on so little. Options are a wolf who knows FTB is village and is trying to buy cred for herself when FTB flips that way, a wolf trying to save another wolf who's absent and not able to defend, or mason villager.

The majority of those options aren't great, so I'm actually considering switching to you.

I would like to hear from the players who haven't shown up or who have been minimally participating.

I read it as being overly talkative, but I may have misinterpreted it because I was reading her as being too vocal for how I remembered Dy playing. I also hadn't realized she hadn't played here in so long so just assumed you'd played with her before and were seeing what I was seeing.

I did just say, "oops, mistake," about the lynch vote wording mistake. The rest of the "defensiveness" was me actually responding to someone about players interacting in the game. For all that I'm reactionary and inflammatory, I'm really starting to feel that KC is misunderstanding not only me but others as well, to a point that I can't figure.

Honestly, I didn't get into the nitty gritty detail of the crazy jumble in my brain (can you believe it? I'm holding back...). I read Finn's mod post and something about the wording and example of the rule on how to place a lynch vote made me go, "Cool, I can save typing a word! Bold name should do it, not sure what +/- "lynch" adds. And to think, all those times we're typing "lynch" it's just for good measure! I wonder why everyone does that when you can...."

I'm going on 36 hours no sleep right now, and if you checked my posts, you'd see that was so. So that was a great "lightbulb" moment.

Lol, why would I purposefully do that as a wolf? So the answer is honest mistake of course, and I think it's silly to think such a slip is a good data point on affiliation. I mean, I get looking for anything out of the ordinary... but common sense, please.

I appreciate the explanation.

The KC vs. dy stuff feels like villagers misunderstanding each other to me. I'm also not thrilled about FTB being in the lead (at least as of the last tally) since she (?) hasn't played in quite some time and hasn't been on to defend herself that I've seen.

Actually looking at what people say is exactly how to find wolves. I find it odd that you see that as nit-picking. That is typically how wolves are sussed out and found. Not to mention it is Day 1, very little to go off of.

Unless you actually know something that you don't want to put out on the thread, it's more helpful for the village to reason through things together. If it's a random D1 vote, just say so.

One part was an exchange with Crayola. When I'm a villager, I tend to read people who think I'm sketch as sketchy (because what innocent villager would see me as sketch, it must be a woof plot against me!). I know this about myself so I try to give people who think I'm sketch the benefit of the doubt, because I'm often wrong as a villager too. But it's hard to not read into what they're saying too much.

The last part you quoted wasn't related to anything I'd said before. The post from FTB just set off all my Spidey senses and was enough to convince me to switch that way.

Agreed, it’s just D1 so it’s hard to say anything with certainty.

No, I am not PM'ing with FTB and per the roster can only PM Cowgirl, which I have literally just now opened, since you reminded me, and I usually make use of it. I haven't heard back yet, but I only just did it.

Eh, as a villager I really have nothing to lose going to bat for someone I think is village, unless I'm wrong or I get killed for it. It's more important I speak my mind and look out for village, than myself. Wolves have more to lose by putting down firm stakes in the sand. Wolfing 101 is to be very careful about coming off like you're informed minority.

I have my own logic. This goes into what I wanted to tell LIS. I have peeves, that usually relate to what I think are "bad" reasons to vote for someone, and that's when I go nuts. Admittedly in WW there's rarely hard data to go on, so I go nuts often. Still, I don't like it when someone is considered "wolfy" when they are doing what they do every game as a villager (why I'm not going for greeny), when the noobs are likely just being nooby (greeny, staff, johnaboo (his defense swung me)), or someone makes an actual thoughtful contribution (FTB).

In my opinion I can't take FTB's comment as more wolfy than Gryf's silly flippancy or DVMD's "tradition" throwaway vote on Sporty. Some of those things might have some element that makes them "off," but it's clear which are more useful. It doesn't prove that FTB's village either, and I can actually see why people might think it's wolfy, but I don't like the thinking. This early in game, I'd rather look at other players contributing less or doing things that I find more worrisome than a comment helpful on its face. I don't want to be wrong by lynching an insightful villager, if that's what we have with that comment.

Hence why I'm saying I'll come off you to save FTB. I don't like the FTB lynch. I have reason to think you're sketch, but in the scheme of things I think it's worth keeping both of you around a night and offing someone else instead as a trade off. Silent/inscrutable players are my sacrificial lambs of choice if I have to come off my top sketch choice to save someone I think is more valuable than the lamb.

Let's clear this up fast. It hasn't been a "tradition" for me to vote SP. I did it once early game at some point (heck I couldn't even tell you when) and SP claimed then and there that I "always vote for her."..... and well, it became a friendly thing. I put it in as a joke and if I find reason to move it during Day 1, I do. Go look at last game... I don't think I even voted for her Day 1.

What is more odd here, is that SP has voted for me in the same "spirit" and you don't have her listed in your write up here. Why not?

I honestly don't agree with some of the logic but at least I can understand somewhat where you're coming from.

I'm also ok with sacrificing players who aren't playing. Doesn't mean they are wolf or village but if they're not helping the village then they should go.

I'm not super satisfied with FTB s response, but at least she came back and responded. I hadn't realized her post was so late last night.

I think a weird brainfart moment like this is more village like to do. Wolves tend to read over their posts more often and not draw that much attention to themselves. But I'm not good at reading cray, I had her as solid village the game she was a wolf.

Kc is all over the place for me. She is very active, but I don't know if I should take that as she has time off and is excited to play ww since she hasn't for awhile or excited to be a wolf-more active. I feel like its the former for now though. I'm not really getting the votes for ftb, idk his comments just haven't seemed sketch to me. The other top candidates are coming off as noob or usual first lynches who haven't said anything significant to ping my radar yet. But I'm also just skimming because I got to get back to work soon. Could still stay on 3m. Her two posts so far I are really random if I remember right. I'm going to vote pippy today. She hasn't been defensive yet even with being a leading lynch candidate which is more like her wolf self then her village self. Also didn't like her defense of staffy being a noob, reminded me too much of that other game (I know pips you gave an explanation for why you strongly defended paws that game, but I could see you doing that again if they were a noob in your pack)

But she's had 2 votes on her since this morning which so far would make her a leading candidate with our spread of votes so far. And that I would expect a reaction of some sort, but she didn't even seem phased. Which is weird to me. I mean it would also be weird if she was a wolf because she seems to be a wolf a lot then, but rng is king.

So does around 50 percent of the roster. And note one of those votes is a throwaway by someone who isn't responding anymore.
