Hi everybody,

I was accepted to Albany Medical College a few days ago, but I'm all set for Toledo (found an apartment and shipped some luggages). I just wanted to see what others thought. =]

Thanks!

I can't speak about Toledo but I'm heading to Albany in a few weeks and I am extremely happy with where I am going (i'll admit that originally I was hesitant to choose Albany). I have had the chance to go see the school a few more times and speak to students and it seems as though everyone loves it there. It is a smaller, more intimate experience than some other schools and it offers you great clinical experience (because there is really no major hospital in the surrounding areas). Albany is also a better city than I thought (relatively cheap and tons of young people because of all the undergrad and grad schools) and is situated near so many things (2-3hrs from NYC, skiing nearby, lake george, boston/new england).

Sure you'll be happy wherever though. Good luck.

Albany is 9k/year cheaper and Toledo is in Ohio. It's your life though....

😛

Not after you gain IS tuition after your first year.

I stand corrected. So Toledo is like 50k less than Albany over 4 years of tuition!😱 I'd rather live in NY but that is some big bucks right there. Damn, I don't know what I'd do OP. Good luck whichever you decide on.
