Talking about secondary to ii odds, not ii to acceptance odds
I'm losing my mind. Should I call the school to see if I received an interview/status of my app?
not gonna submit my secondary. they are not getting my $200 only to reject me
II! OOS applicant, complete 9/24. I was given 2 days to choose from, 2 weeks from now![]()
My money order has still not been cashed. Does it mean my application has not been completed yet?
$200 / $50 = 4 schools
$200 / $75 = 3 schools
$200 / $100 = 2 schools
Seems about right if we are just considering secondary fees.
Hey guys just wanted to let you know that I got an ii today. I called to make sure my file was complete, and after finding out that they missed my DO LOR in their first pass he offered my an ii right over the phone. Will likely be there on Oct 28.
Congrats! That's very exciting.
Do you mind sharing your stats?
What were your stats?
Definitely call to reschedule
I got an ii yesterday. Canadian, 25S, cGPA 3.9. 🙂 Anyone have tips on how to prepare for the interview?
Also, I called to reschedule my interview date and they were great about it.
Out of curiosity, do you have DO shadowing experience?I got an ii yesterday. Canadian, 25S, cGPA 3.9. 🙂 Anyone have tips on how to prepare for the interview?

Hey Audaz, thanks for clearing that up. I was trying to assess how much they value DO shadowing experience when offering iis as someone earlier in the thread had mentioned that they were offered an ii over the phone when they mentioned they had worked with a DO.Hey mkmix - I do not have shadowing experience. In Canada, it is quite difficult to obtain this kind of experience in a clinic as it is not legally permitted if you are not already a med student (a bit of a catch 22). However, I do have A LOT of research experience. I worked for many years during my undergrad and MSc in laboratories.

ii for Nov. 4... anyone have any recommendations for OOS applicants in terms of where to stay, which airport to fly into, etc.
Hey Neuropeptide, I would give it another week and then call the admissions office. It took roughly two weeks before I received a secondary invite after my primary application was released. Good luck!Hey, my primary application was released on 10/10/13. I know its only been seven days, but should I be worried that I did not receive my secondary app yet? My GPA is a tad above average, but my MCAT is 10 bs, 10 ps, and 5 vr. Could I possibly get screened out due to low vr? Thanks.

Congratulations on your ii btw - good luck on it.
Thank you, that's very comforting to hear. Congratulations on your acceptance btw!!I had no DO shadowing experience and was accepted. I discussed it in my interview. Have a good "why DO" answer that is personal and you'll be fine. Half the professors there are MDs - just say you had valuable shadowing experiences and they were excellent physicians which is your goal, MD or DO.
