Yeah, but I thought maybe I should keep my options open and shouldn't turn down an interview I was lucky to get. If I had Tucson, it may be different. NOT that I'm not thrilled about Phoenix - really, I didn't think I had a shot this year and I feel very lucky (I also think I offended Tryptofan above, and really, I'm not a stuck-up person). I just want to look back later on and really feel like I made a well-informed decision if there are options and that I considered every possible pathway.

True! And, I've never seen the Mississippi River before - it's huge! So really, it's a long shot as well as an expensive, short vacation (even though tomorrow I'll mainly be studying for a Human Phys exam).

I'm jealous you guys get to sleep the next 9 hours away. I'll be up... working... in the ER. It's going to be a long night. :smack:
 
Grrr it's almost 4 in the morning and I just woke up and can't get back to sleep. I hate this so much and will be glad when it's over, either way! 😡

That it is! I'm catching up on some Nip-Tuck at the moment. Did anyone get confirmation of how many letters are coming out?
 
Yes, we will! And if any of us don't get an email today (hopefully not, I hope everyone here gets in), then I will email Tanisha about the waitlist - how many people on there, when it will be released, etc.
 
Ah yes, and please tell us immediately if any of you receive an acceptance email! That is, if you can remember to in your euphoric state. 😀
 
good luck everyone!! I have a massive test on thursday that I definitely should already have started studying for... but last night I couldn't focus on anything. And I feel like either way today goes - email or not - I won't be able to focus!! haha
 
At least you have a couple more days...I have a huge exam tomorrow! And two quizzes on Wednesday! But likewise, I cannot focus on anything right now!:bang:
 
Better yet, I have to present my thesis in less than two months and haven't started that monstrous task either! It's definitely been hard to motivate myself this semester while constantly feeling depressed and hopeful about getting a letter
 
Here's a conversation between me and a friend:
Me: The last set of acceptances are coming out on Monday. I am sssoo NERVOUS!!
Him: Don't worry. Don't get ulcers over it.
Me: No ulcers. Just depression.

Just called...so, if you don't get an acceptance email by 9:30am or so, wait for the waitlist, which will come out in early March...

As for the number of acceptances going out today, it is quite a few more than 30...so, cross your fingers!!!!!!!

i hate this. somebody better write on here the minute they get accepted so I can stop refreshing and go cry!
 
So I have a tab open with gmail...and it has a number in parentheses with how many emails I have left to read....so everytime I get an email it goes up to one and refreshes itself. It's painful to watch the number not change 🙁
 
when is the wait list coming out?
and it seems that last year just worked differently right? as in there is not going to be another 60-70 people coming of the waitlist. thnx

Yes, because my second interview invitation got spammed and never got it. That is why my file was completed much later than expected. So check your SPAM!

Congrats to you! You have a really neat application and deserve it. Which campus do you think you will choose? 🙂
 
So basically if we haven't received the email, we are waitlisted or rejected right? Somebody already got their Tucson email and they are all sent out at the exact same time if I remember correctly. Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

I don't know. I love the small, professional feel of Phoenix, but I'm nervous about if/how the economy and budget cuts will affect its growth and the resources available to students. Maybe it won't, I don't know. I think 5-10 years down the road I would take Phoenix for sure, but considering the great reputation and foundation Tucson has, I suppose I am (reluctantly) leaning toward that campus.
