VCU accepts a pretty high percentage of out of state residents, but does anyone know if this is a high number because of people from DC?

I doubt it.

At my interview, the OOSers were from Louisiana, Connecticut, Maryland (which is probably more likely), Florida, and California x 2. They have A LOT of Californians there.

So true. On the day of my interview, there were 4 OOS including me, and they all were Californians. But, I guess there's a lot of them everywhere though.

Yeah for schools that will take Californians OOS! I feel like the majority of schools don't want to take us OOS because they assume we will immediately high-tail it back once we graduate. Which may be somewhat justified. But, still someone has to take it since our in-state schools are so hard to get in to!
