+1 eligible email. What does that mean? Is there some sort of ranking system from here on out?
It's kind of weird, but it pretty much means you may get an offer for acceptance between now and March. If they don't offer you an acceptance you will get put on the waitlist when they fill their class. In other words, you aren't rejected LOL.

I'm hearing anecdotally (from current students) that many people get in from initially being in the post-II "Waitlist" group in May. This basically means that "Eligible" is a soft A?

It means you are at minimum guaranteed a waitlist spot. Not sure how the waitlist ranking works but I think being eligible now would likely put you higher on the waitlist.

May be a bit of survivorship bias here considering all current students ended up with an A, regardless of their initial status. Looking at previous years on here there are plenty of students who were eligible that were waitlisted and not admitted. In the interview they mentioned a 2:1 catch rate post-extending an A, so theoretically roughly 40 students get off the waitlist. Being eligible is a very good sign, but you could be setting yourself up for disappointment by assuming it’s a soft A.

Does anyone know if wazzu is pass/fail for pre-clinical or clinical? Or if they do H/P/F? I forgot to ask on interview day.
Satisfactory/no pass for pre-clerkship then its Near Honors and Honors during the clerkship years.

Is the secondary closed for other people?

I know it's super last minute but I thought the deadline was tomorrow.

Has anyone gotten an II for January yet?
I got an II on 12/02 for 01/24! There were only two dates I could pick from- that Friday or the following Monday (01/27)
Edit: I got an email offering an earlier date so now I am interviewing on 12/16- seems like there is some movement in the schedule

Alright, slowly losing my mind here. Interviewed 8/30 and got an 'eligible' email on 10/1. I'm watching my phone like a hawk but so far crickets. This is my #1 school 😢 Has anyone gotten a call this month yet?

Same! I check my email and this forum way too many times per day lol. It seems like the last couple years people heard back around the second week of December so that's what I'm hoping for at this point!

Edit: Well, 2nd-3rd week so more waiting for us...

Ah that makes sense, thank you! Also relieved to know I'm not the only one stressing! I hope we hear back then and that it's good news for both of us!

I interviewed today and I think they said they would be sending out the next wave of responses soon (I think next week but can’t exactly remember). People who recently interviewed will be hearing back in January.

I believe they do not, or at least mine hadn’t seen mine.
no they don't because it isn't associated with your actual application so basically all the students doing it are volunteering and its completely separate from the admissions process (or at least that was my understanding of it, also the student that did mine didn't have access to my application).

Hi! I'm interviewing soon and was wondering if anyone had any tips for the traditional or recorded interviews? Any advice would be appreciated :)

For recorded interviews, just practice MMI prompts that you can look up online and use the STAR method. For traditional stations just prepare standard questions and think about how you can use experiences from your amcas application to answer them.

Are WSU running late this year? Or do I just submitted too late cuz still silence. (I submitted late October)

Waitlisted for the third time. This was honestly my biggest fear. The wait is awful.

guessing that's it for december offers since they said they said they typically call once a month?

Yep, December interviewees will be hearing back in January. This wave was for interviews in November or earlier.
I interviewed in late August, I don’t think it matters when you interview as I saw in last years thread that some people who interviewed in September got offers in January. This is for the offer calls at least, the eligible/WL/R email is probably more timed with when people interview.

Did the post today about the acceptance call get deleted or is it just me?

Do yk how many people got off the WL last year?
The amount of offers given off the waitlist will probably be different each year since the yield is dependent on how many acceptance offers are declined in the regular season. Those listed as eligible during the regular season and do not recieve an offer will be moved to the waitlist and given a higher ranking than those given an initial waitlist offer.

Have they ever confirmed that? It would make sense that the waitlist would be in the same order as the original rank list, but I thought it remember people questioning that last year on here.

I do not think that has been confirmed per se, I believe I heard others mention this. Also from reviewing last year, it looked like the WL moved at least through rank 69 and those who had an eligible originally were at least in the 20’s.

I don’t think so. I would wait till mid-January. They are pretty good about getting to all applications before sending out all interviews.
