I’m planning on going tomorrow night. I’m wiped out from travel!
My interview is at 8, so I’m hoping to hop in on a class after that!

I’m going to be there I hope tomorrow night too! (As long as my flight is on time!)

I'm wondering if acceptances are emailed and waitlisted/rejected get snail mail?

This is so bad but does anyone know the names of the interview panel from Wednesday Jan 29? I was so nervous I completely forgot my interviewers names and I was hoping to write them a thank you.

There are tons of interview rooms so impossible to know who you had. I wouldnt worry about it. I never sent a thank you just as point of reference and I still got in

Got the call at 4:10. A little earlier on response than last year. Admissions calls tend to go out over several days. Dr. Talcott says she put the acceptance letters in the mail today. As I live in Pullman, maybe mine will arrive in the mail tomorrow.

Maybe you can call admissions, and give them your name. I'm sure they'd give you your interviewer names.

I guess Talcott was lenient? Interview went well, and I took Chemical Biology, so guess that counts?

I can guarantee you your Chemical Biology class counted as your O-chem requirement. Pre-reqs are a hard requirement for all schools, there is no leniency on them. If you don't have them they often times wont even look at your app. I think there is an option like chem bio for undergrads at WSU so they may be used to looking at that class as well.

CONGRATS to Everyone that has been accepted so far!

I got the call!! IS acceptance ahhh I’m so happy! Pretty sure they are calling in alphabetical order by last name and calls go out over several days so stay hopeful! I definitely understand I was freaking out before hand.
What does your last name start with?

I did not get a phone call when I was accepted two years ago. I got an email and a Letter. They usually update the Portal system with your status, so maybe try checking there.

Thanks,
I checked the portal and there isn't any change on it. No email either.

IS acceptance!! I got the call while I was working, so I couldn't pick up. Dr. Talcott said my name twice in the voicemail, but I don't think it'll really hit me till I step into my first class at WSU. Congrats to the other future cougs, super excited to meet you all!

As for those waiting with anxious thoughts, I hope you hear some good news. If not, there is always next year. And I know, I know--easy for me to say when I got an acceptance. However, I will say that I nearly cried after my interview because I thought it had gone SO horribly and spent the subsequent few days in a funk. Finally, I realized that I was lucky enough to have a vet assistant job with coworkers that I love, so I am in a position to learn all that I can before reapplying as a better version of myself next cycle. I hope that eventually helps shift some of your mind frames from beating yourself up to helping yourself grow (but by all means, take that requisite time to wallow and process before moving on).

PM me if I can support you in any way at all. Emotional support, advice, friendly banter? You got it, dude.

I got my acceptance call from Dr. Talcott today at 1720 PST. I’m In State and my last name starts with a W.

Congratulations to everyone who was accepted. I look forward to the journey ahead of us.

To everyone who does not recieved an acceptance this year. I am so sorry, it is so disappointing to be told no. I was a 2 time applicant. Last year I didn’t even get an interview, I was crushed. It took me several weeks before I could even tell people I was so disappointed and discouraged. The ability to talk with the admission panel about my application strengths and weaknesses directly helped me have a strong application this year.
It is heart breaking to receive a no, so have your cry, be disappointed, take the time to process the grief. But then take a deep breath, and get ready to do it again next year. Each of you were interviewed because you were a strong candidate. So you will be a strong candidate again next year. You can do this. This journey is a roller coaster of highs and lows.

Which portal system gets updated?

IS Acceptance!!!!!!!!!! Got the call at 5:02pm PST!
I'M SO EXCITED TO BE A COUG!!
Thanks for posting this yesterday. I was feeling pretty discouraged when I hadn’t gotten a call by 5:00. I am a W so I had gone in figuring I was at the end of the day if accepted, but when 5:00 went by and I hadn’t gotten a call I was pretty disappointed. Your post gave me hope. As it turns out I got my call at 5:20. So excited for next year. But I wanted to thank you for posting.

Just wondering if calls are going out over a couple of days? I was just wondering if there was still any hope. From what I saw Friday, calls started at around 3pm-6pm and I do not know if everyone was called during that time? Thanks.

I don’t think anyone knows for sure. My phone call with Dr. T lasted 56 seconds so if you do the math it seems reasonable that she could make around 60 calls in that timeframe, but who’s to say that’s all she was doing in that time. She did say offer letters went in the mail on Friday so potentially waitlists and rejections did too which would make them arrive soon. Best of luck

Was the mailing list that was sent out just for IS? Or everyone?

You think the calls will be over several days? I have a few friends who got called on Friday and I haven't heard yet so I am very nervous! I know there is still a chance that Dr. Talcott is still calling people
