I'm going to vote to lynch Samoa.
Yes, this is partially to save myself**, but that's not the only reason. Putting aside the lack of lynch votes until now, the Kitty Pryde thing is just not making any sense to me. We have proof there was a Shadowcat--wolfspeaker, who was the first person lynched. All the names that I know about so far have been their X-Men code names. LIS was Professor X, not Charles Xavier; zany was Cyclops, not Scott Summers; etc. The only member of the X-Men team who I think doesn't have a code name is Jean Grey.
Okay, yes, since Shadowcat and Kitty Pryde are canonically the same person, it would seem to fit with what the write-ups have implied about Samoa's movements between groups. But:
a) We only have Samoa's word that she is Kitty Pryde.
b) According to DVM's public comments about her role name/ability (Havok/avoiding lynching), as well as other knowledge I have, role names and abilities in this game don't always line up together so neatly.
c) Q: Since there was a publicly declared Shadowcat, claiming to be Kitty Pryde would be a stupid move and we all know it, so why would someone do this? A: Because we all know that it would be a stupid move, we're predisposed to believe that no one would do this, especially if we don't think they're normally stupid. The line of thinking seems to be that claiming something so out-there would be an incredibly dumb wolfy move, so no smart wolf would do it. Unless they're a smart wolf who realizes that we'll think exactly that and is manipulating us based on that belief.
d) I believe it was in the History game (courtesy of SOV--our current co-mod 🙄), that one of the wolves (I want to say Emiloo?) had the ability to move between groups, which the wolves used to their advantage.
e) With so many characters to choose from, why would the mods create two roles that were the same person? (Devyn even claims that no alcohol was involved in the making of this game. 😛)
So yeah, this Samoa = Kitty Pryde thing is incredibly suspicious to me. That's in addition to the lack of lynch votes and not really bringing anything to the thread, either.
