I had some water and took a heavy nap but I think I've managed to mostly catch up (quickly though).

I'm happy with where my vote is. I feel like shelter misrepresented what her ability was initially by comparing it to a martyr and I don't like that. I do think her role description is probably legitimate. It's a role that could go either way but it feels like she tried to make it sound more village-y when she first talked about it by saying it could possibly hurt her--because it really can't.
 
Oh and I went back and read dolphin's posts more closely and felt better about her too. I think last time she was busy during a game i mislynched her for it. So trying to focus on quality not quantity.

I'm not really feeling shelter today. Weird role for a wolf to make up, and definitely a weird one for a wolf to have. Might come back to it later as the game progresses, but for now I'm leaving it alone. And my read of her is pretty much normal shelter at this point anyway.

Zig...eh could go there but she's been on my case off and on and I didn't really feel like I was interacting with a wolf in those moments. She might be the most occam's razor explanation for the no kill night. When I have more time I'll figure out if I believe she would have been the kill target last night, but I'm willing to leave it for today.

Tbh I'm not that confident in it. I don't think I'm that great at reading her. I'm just stuck on some posts earlier on that felt like she was defending me and when I can't figure out why someone is defending me it makes me uneasy.

I mean if every time someone tries to act on a player they get redirected somewhere else, that is going to start to raise eyebrows. The utility in being a ninja of that sort (there's a word for the role, I just can't think of it right now) is lost pretty rapidly for scum.

Are we sure people are informed of their redirection? Ie if a seer seered Shelter, would they get "Your seering got redirected to _____ and they are _____, or would they get "Shelter is ______"?

The latter wouldn't make sense with how it has been presented. No, I don't know the exact mechanics of the role, so sure it's possible that they aren't told, but in a game where people are told whether or not protective actions were needed, does that seem likely?

The only way I am coming to terms with her being informed her protection wasn't needed was her self protecting herself. If that's not the case, then I agree with you. But if that's the case, I disagree with you.

Agree this is weird and makes me want to vote there, I’m also worried this seems like a bit of a runaway vote.

What more do you want me to say about it? The points you brought up about Nav didn’t seem outside his normal play to me. I thought it was weird he hadn’t opened a pm with me, but I also think he would have made sure to do that right away if he were a wolf, because I know how much he likes to manipulate people in pms. Right now he’s in my strong village category.

you guys really know how to hang onto the super insignificant **** that I say. I said something along the lines of "like a martyr, but not that dramatic" not sure how many times I can explain it. combination of my sarcasm and dry sense of humor, which i'm certain many of you are familiar with, that's what i ended up saying. what the **** ever. also, POSSIBLY hurt me means POSSIBLY hurt me. if i lost out on a protection because i redirected it to someone else and i ended up dead, yeah, i feel like that would hurt me. that's my interpretation of how things MIGHT happen given my ability.

it obviously doesn't matter at this point, but if the next time I play you guys can actually read what I say, I'd appreciate it. I know I'm insignificant in the grand scheme of things around here, but sometimes I'm actually trying to be helpful, believe it or not.
