Status page says April is when the waitlist is assembled. It seems to me that we have some time to wait.
maybe it is, just not for the SDN hopefuls... =(
I think if I haven't heard anything by april 1 I am going to plan on UTSW and get my housing situation taken care of.
I interviewed the last day, I had a friend (who is not a SDN user) who did to, and he hasn't heard a thing either. They said March, so the waiting is half over, right ?
Also, just wondering, does everyone have a changed status page? Mine still says "Your application has already been reviewed and is currently being processed." since I turned in the secondary, although I was interviewed.....
Whats the deal with the admissions status? Is the class already filled? Im just wondering because I interviewed in the last pool(2/20) and was told that we should be expecting an update in March. Btw, I also have the same status page as you: "Your application has already been reviewed and is currently being processed."
Don't have a clue about the class being filled or not, but it's good to know that you have the same thing on your page. Probably just didn't get to change ours since we interviewed last.
i interviewed in december, and i still have the message about having been "reviewed and processed" on my status page...i get the impression that everyone has this status, at least until they get accepted (though if anyone has anything different feel free to correct me...)
i'm really confused about what's going on with acceptances right now. i thought there was supposed to be a big wave of them in march, but i thought that would have happened by now since interviews have been finished for nearly a month. 😕
Just had to point out the bestest sig in all of SDN land 😀
Baylor's done some admitting this week - a (non-SDN) friend was just accepted a few days ago. Here's hoping there's still room for the rest of us.

My status says: "Your application has already been reviewed and is currently being processed."
I guess the status isn't change regardless of whether or not you've been accepted.
...as far as the Spurs go... GET RED!!! (aka, GO ROCKETS!)
Best of luck to all of you!
Maybe I'm just being stupid, but... where is the BCM financial aid application? On their accepted student financial aid page, they seem only to have links to FAFSA, loan information, and work-study forms. On their scholarship form, it has an option that says "I have completed my BCM Financial Aid Application: Yes, No" but I can't seem to find the application itself.
Hey guys! I'm new here, but as far as the acceptances go, I asked my pre-med advisor and she has heard that Baylor has sent out all their acceptances already. The lady on the phone at Baylor said they won't release the waitlist till May. Any thoughts? I'm dying here. 🙁
I called today and the admissions office said they were still making offers and by the first week of april they are trying to have the waitlist prepared. Best of Luck![]()
So do you think there is still time to send out last minute "please vote for me, I love Baylor emails"?

Dear Rice community,
Below is a joint statement by Bill Butler, the interim president of Baylor College of Medicine, and me announcing that the governing boards of our two institutions have given us the go-ahead to sign a memorandum of understanding about a possible merger.
The MOU lays out a framework for a formal period of due diligence and negotiations that may lead to an agreement to merge. As the statement indicates, no decisions have been made and many complex issues remain to be resolved before we will know where those discussions take us.
My colleagues on Rice's leadership team and I are pleased about this sign of progress. We are also very mindful that there will be a lot of work ahead of us to ensure that a closer affiliation is in the best interests of both institutions. We will count on you to continue to share your ideas about what a merger with Baylor may mean to Rice, including risks we need to mitigate and opportunities we need to explore. And we will be calling on our faculty and staff to help us identify and resolve a wide range of implementation issues on which a successful merger would depend.
Thank you for the input many of you have provided that, in fact, helped bring us to this important, and possibly historic, moment.
I'll be keeping you posted as this next round of discussions progresses.
With regards,
David W. Leebron

To the faculties, staffs and students of Rice University and Baylor College of Medicine:
We are pleased to announce that the governing boards of Rice and BCM this week approved the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) that lays out a broad framework for formal negotiations about a possible merger of our two institutions.
While no decision on a merger has yet been made and many issues remain to be resolved, our boards have concluded that a closer affiliation has abundant potential benefits for both institutions, as well as for our home city of Houston. Months of informal discussions have confirmed that the missions and aspirations of our two institutions are in fact closely aligned, that both institutions would benefit in many ways from a merger and that, together, Rice and BCM could be one of the world's leading research universities.
The MOU framework will allow us to systematically and thoroughly move ahead with the next stage of discussions. Over the next few months, we will seek to address issues and concerns that have surfaced from those discussions, and we will continue to solicit input from members of our respective communities. The success of a merger, or any closer affiliation, will also depend significantly on how effectively we plan for and manage its implementation.
Baylor College of Medicine and Rice University are institutions of distinction that bring great achievements and greater potential to such a merger. Each is known throughout the world for contributions to important areas of human knowledge and service. Both are entering this conversation closely attentive to the importance of sustaining that which is great, inspired by the possibilities of expanded distinction and contribution, respectful of our values and traditions, and committed to our responsibilities to Houston and the broader society.
Thank you for the suggestions and insights that have helped shape our discussions so far. We continue to welcome your ideas going forward.

Thanks for the info 🙂hey i just called office - they are making calls this week and next week. indiv i spoke with who seemed very informed (and was nice) felt 50% of class had been filled. acceptees have until may 15th to indicate if they accept the offer.
she felt acceptances may occur even after the 30th. she was unsure of March 30th amcas rule. perhaps this doesnt apply to all schools.
In first week of april they will Start to assemble wait list
hope this info helps...if anyone else gets an acceptance call etc let us know.
Who did you send yours to? I sent one to Villareal after my interview, but I remember there were some other names mentioned. Did you guys interview at one of the later dates? Is that maybe why they're taking so long? Or is it maybe cause my last name is at the end of the alphabet?😉
About a couple days ago,Admissions Office, I interviewed in January.
I just called Baylor this morning and the lady told me that they were gonna make phone calls till the end of this week. They start their waitlist next week.
Yeah, I don't know what to say, guys. Maybe they've been accepting a bunch of people who aren't on SDN, or maybe they're just really far behind...
Yeah, maybe they're accepting people not on SDN. I'm not from Texas though, and I would think that all of you texas people who are on SDN would have heard if anyone not on SDN in Texas had been accepted in the last month.
My suspicion is that they have accepted far more than the "half" that has been cited on here recently. Sorry if I'm being pessimistic, I'd like to think I'm being realistic.
