About how long does it take to hear from Brown after the interview?
If you have interviewed in the past few weeks, you should find out this Friday, 1/30

Thanks Linguini! I did love Brown... it was my top choice. I have to revisit Brown and UMass to make a final decision. But it will be between those 2. (Most likely Brown.)
By the way... do we get an e-mail? I'm ultra paranoid my status will change back to: Oooops, sorry, wrong applicant.

Not sure about the email. Haven't gotten anything yet. I predict we'll just get the snail mail package soon, but no email.

Don't want to throw my anonymity out the window but I was one of the many from Boston. I graduated in 2008. I work at Children's Hospital Boston. That should narrow it down.

Last round of acceptances to come out on March 20th.
I just talked to brown and they said they would let everyone who hasn't received an interview know on 2/15 if they will get one or not. I am not sure if they are sending this info in snail mail, e-mail, or through a status update.

I just got my acceptance letter in the mail yesterday! (SO excited!) One question - it says we need to respond within 3 weeks, but it didn't say anything about a deposit. Is there really no deposit, or did I just miss that somewhere?

According to the MSAR, no deposit is required.
i recently interviewed at brown and i received an email about filling out the financial aid forms. i was wondering if this indicates an acceptance in the future or if they send this email to all interviewees. thanks!
I hate to say this but I also received the email about filling out the financial aid forms and I am yet to interview (interview coming up this week). Think they emailed it to everyone who's interviewed, will be interviewing, accepted, and waitlisted. Hope you get accepted though.

thanks for your reply. yeah i kind of figured that they sent the email to all interviewees, but i couldn't help but hope that the email was a foreshadowing of an acceptance 🙂 anyway, good luck, i hope your interview goes really well and that you get to go to the school of your dreams 🙂

So after reading the Brown Financial Aid Guide, it appears that all aid is need-based. Right?

I also got the idea that Brown only gives need-based scholarships and loans. No merit-based anything.
Yeah I think Brown only gives need-based financial aid; no merit-based aid.
I just interviewed at Brown yesterday and LOVED it!! One more day of interviews and then the last batch hears on March 20th! My last interview and I'm probably going to be getting news from them before anyone else (hate non-rolling)! Anyways, to all you already accepted... Hope to see you next year, wish me luck!

Yeah, I check that site 3 times a day. Yikes...
I am anxiously waiting for Friday's status update as well... I interviewed at Brown March 5th and wow what a day! I loved the school and would be so disappointed by a rejection. At least my undergrad is having a senior banquet/party that night so I can either celebrate or drown my sorrows away!

I'm sorry, Enroh. But don't lose hope! They said that half of the waitlist gets in because it's a pretty small number!! Keep telling them how much you love Brown.
