Looks like we'll have to wait another week. It seems that the adcom meets on Tuesdays and decisions usually go out on Wednesdays. Since no one has heard back today as far as I know (???), I'm assuming that we'll have to wait until next Wednesday.

Looks like it. This "continued" list limbo is killer :/

so are all the interviews already out on the table for pritzker?

I'm sure there are probably still a few slots, especially as there may be cancellations when people decide that they don't want to pay to fly anymore. Don't lose hope yet! Maybe check the interview invite threads? Still waiting on their January admissions committee meeting...the waiting is killing me!

Those of you waiting to hear from the adcom, when did you interview?

I interviewed the week before that and still haven't heard from them!

I'm not surprised. They warned us that they get really behind over the holiday season, although they did say that they'd let us know by the end of January. If we haven't heard back by a week from Monday, I'll call.

i interviewed dec 2 as well....just got the letter for the continued list. any ideas of how long one generally remains on the continued list?? i reeeeeeaaaalllly liked Pritzker... hopefully it works out...

I think until March, when they reject you, waitlist you, or accept you. Good luck! That means that we probably have letters coming in the mail as well.

Did you get the letter today or yesterday? What region of the country are you in? Just trying to figure out when my letter will arrive...

I got accepted!!! I am in love with Pritzker! Good luck everyone...hope we are all classmates next year!

congrats to those who have been accepted! just wondering... did you guys send a letter of interest/intent to Pritzker?

I got accepted yesterday! My heart went crazy when I saw the 773 area code on the caller ID. It is my first so I am pumped. Pritzker is at the top of my list! 😍

For all curious I inteviewed Dec 4 and did not send an LOI or anything.

Good luck:luck: Hope the best for you all!

Were any of you off of the continued list? Or were you just straight up acceptances?

I believe it arrived Tuesday (I was out of town till Wednesday) in Boston. Might be delayed cause of MLK day...

Congrats to all those that got accepted!

I interviewed Nov 24th. I didn't send a letter of interest and was straight up accepted.

Got this shirt and a hand written letter from Pritzker in the mail today. Aw, so cute.

I haven't even gotten a letter yet. I know I'm not going to be accepted, but I'm wondering if they'll outright reject me now since I haven't even gotten the continued letter yet...I would be so so so so so sad...

Sad day. Just found out that the "continued" list is a wait list for wait list positions, not a list from which they accept people until late April/early May. At least that's what happened last year. I'm going to go bite my pillow. Anyone who gets that reference gets cool points.

I'm almost 100% sure that isn't true and that it IS in fact a list that you can come off of at different points in the year. What made you come to that conclusion? If you haven't gotten off of the continued list by April-ish, THEN you will voted upon to go on the waitlist or not.

I just emailed David Owen asking if people can still get accepted of the continued list before a wait list is assembled--I'll report back when he responds.

I hope we can get accepted still at this point if we are continued...I would LOVE to go to Pritzker!

Straight from the admissions office they have been accepting people from the continued pool for the past few months and will continue to do so through march and part of april at which point they will then assemble the wait list

don't lose hope just yet!

I'm officially withdrawing since I was only interested in their MD PhD program, so feel free to make my interview spot.

I would interview at Pritzker anyway. They have a program called the GDTP which you can apply into as a first or second-year. Essentially it's an MD/PhD program that's specially designed for MD students who choose later that they also want to pursue a PhD. You receive full tuition funding in addition to a stipend. I asked about this during my interview, and they said since only very few choose to apply to this, it's not all that competitive to be accepted. And even if you don't get in, there are still other options for pursuing a PhD. (Pritzker really emphasizes the value of and opportunity for pursuing dual degrees)

I already withdrew. I really couldn't go on any of the 4 days they gave me anyway. 2 overlapped with other interviews and the others would cause me to miss 2 days of class. I've been to class less than I've been on interviews this semester, so i'd rather not go.

Additionally, I'm into tissue engineering and cell-biomaterial interactions. Nobody at pritzker is doing that research. ( I just found this out today, why did i send int he secondary 🙁)

Yeah, they're supposed to send out most merit ones by the end of January. This date may have changed since they called in December. In addition to the phone call, you will receive a follow-up letter within a week. Good luck, and congratulations to all the new acceptees/potential future classmates! 😀
Anyone hear anything about scholarships?

This is very true. I just had a chat with D. Owen, and he said they have been taking people off the continued list almost every committee meeting. He said writing a letter significantly increases your chance of getting in, although around half off the continued pool has a very slim chance. If you have been put on the continued list, I highly recommend calling him; he will give you the comments the committee put on your app for why you weren't accepted. Good luck.

does anyone know how long the continued list is? have people been rejected post interview or is just everyone who is not accepted placed on the continued list?

Is there anyone who was accepted to Pritzker that received a merit scholarship NOT in the end-of-December group? I would feel weird to call them to ask if they are done giving out merit aid, but it seems that the only people who have heard anything about scholarships heard in December, so I am wondering if the "end of Jan." estimate might have gotten pushed to "beginning of Feb.". I'd appreciate any insight/inside info that people might have here...

Grats to all of you who got in! I look forward to seeing you at 2nd look and hopefully next year. Best of luck to all you guys still waiting to hear back, too! :luck:

I'm SO OBSESSED with this school. I need to tear myself away from this forum...

Lol, which one of you is ripping on me on my MDapps page? I have had 6 interviews, not 2. I updated it.

Any news from Pritzker lately? I interviewed in early January and am waiting to hear back.

I'm sure they'll meet either this week or next week, so you'll probably hear relatively soon. It's interesting that they haven't gotten back to you yet. They seem to like to meet later in the month because it was around the 23rd of January that the December (and I thought early Jan?) interviewees heard back.

Hey! I just got the phone call this morning that I was accepted. I interviewed the first week of January. Exciting! Pritzker was one of my favorite schools.

To those that received merit scholarships, did you hear when you were accepted, or later on? How long did you wait? Do you think most of the money was given out in January? If it was, that's sad for us '09 interviewees 🙁

Does anyone know how often the committee meets?

Post it on the acceptance thread! Future applicants will thank you.
