Yup, M1.

Already jetting by. Med school is a bizzaro world where time travels fast and slow at the same time. It is also a love-hate relationship. It is not that you're really busy first year, but it is the fact that, at least I, don't know what else to do. I lift weights, eat, sleep and study. We go out fairly often (some more than others). I spend entirely too much time at the college because I know if I went home I wouldn't be doing anything better!

I am training for a strong man contest. More than doable. Tons of time if you manage it right. People try to make a big deal about stuff, but first year is basically like undergrad with more expectations. You actively try to learn the material before hand rather than starting to study a few days before the test, but that's because you have to know it on a different level.

I got interview invite but its NOT A good thing- I AM TOO nervous- I feel like my extra circs are not very amazing.... I figured no one (besides the school i attend which had to) would look at me til spring. lol and i was fine with that!

Could someone post the 2010-2011 AAMC MSAR http://www.aamc.org/students/applying/msar.htm for FSU? Like MCAT (is 28 i read), science GPA, and randon stuff about student profile like nationality/female male ratio did if it is in there?

Relax, you will do fine. The interviews at FSU are very conversational. They want to get to know who you are and why you would like to attend their school. If you have any red flags (low mcat?, low GPA?) on your application don try to underplay them. Try to explain why you have them and what you have done to improve on those areas.

if you are not a florida resident dont bother. Only two people got in from OOS last year.

We had 120 and then one girl deferred to next year during the orientation, but someone got pulled off waitlist still. So, no clue why, but we have 119 supposedly.

There are 4 learning communities. Each learning community is supposed to have 30 people.

One reason not many OOS people go here is because the tuition is obscene. It is near 50k I believe for OOS.

Don't use stats as a deterrent. You'll just defeat yourself. I had a 3.3 and a 27. I'm a wakulla resident which probably helped. Regardless, if they choose to interview you then they think you meet the criteria on paper.

I always hear great things about FSU, and I did have very high expectations of FSU. Today, FSU surpassed my expectations.

The environment, the students, and the faculty were all so welcoming. I thought it was wonderful how the faculty were judging door decorations.

All in all, I got that whole warm and fuzzy feeling when I left.
I think I am in love.😍

Sigh, I hope FSU will love me back.😳

I don't know about his brother. His brother always seemed like a tool. Sorry, but I used to be indifferent about the Patriots until I started running into their fans during undergrad. I'd be wearing my colts jersey or sweatshirt and instantly start getting yelled out. They'd go out of their way to tell me how much they hate Manning and all that. I don't get it. I acknowledge Brady is a good QB. Bellichick is a good coach, albeit a homewrecking douchebag. I never understood why it was so hard to acknowledge that a player was good and could actually be a cool person. It doesn't mean you can't cheer against them when your teams head off. 😉

So yes, you're going down. I'm making sure of it. 😛

Colts are the best. Peyton Manning is the man, I find him really funny on the commercial and SNL

Blame you coach for blowing a win for you, who goes for it on 4th down on their own side of the field with over 2 min left in the game and you are up by less then 7pts. PUNT!! and play Defense.

I got what I wanted a colt win and a big game from Brady (hes on my fantasy team)

I am 31M and 3.4 overall, 3.2 science/math.

Where were you in NC? I lived in the Chapel Hill area for a couple of years after graduation.

I'm not sure about how many they accept immediately, but I found out 9 days after interviewing.

I interviewed on a Monday, and I was told that the committee meets every Tuesday. So, if all went well, I was told I would find out a week from the next day, no later than two weeks.

I ended up only waiting a week, but if you interview on a Friday, you can probably count on nine days (at least).

They tend to take a break during this time. The normal time constraints aren't imposed. Second years end same time as undergrads, but the M1s will all be gone since we end a week early for whatever reason. We have 3 days of lecture next week, thanksgiving and then finals week.

This is my seventh interview. But no acceptances!!! I am on four waitlists. I wouldn't call that "killing it". I am hoping I will be accepted here.

Sorgi or Painter? They have the greatest job in sport, they make 400-900K per year to do not play, they dont get hurt and shorten their live span. All they do is throw a few balls in practice and watch film. Its a great gig in my book, thats why no backup QB ever complain about playing time.
