One thing about my school they look at OOS, I do not know how they rate them though.......I have not seen anything about invites either. I am glad that you are impressed by my school, so am I. I hope that you hear something soon. 😍😍😍

Yes, I did apply here--I'm so impressed by UCF and am honored to be going through this process! I'm an OOS, however, and don't have amazing numbers, by any means, so to tame my patience, I was trying to gauge when invitations for interviews are usually made. I haven't heard anything re an interview for some time now, but I shall keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best!

Hello- I just got my phone interview invite by Mr. Larkin today!!! I submitted 11/15 and complete 11/18. I'm an in-state applicant.

I'm scheduled for Monday December 14th 😀

Good luck to you, anyone else going on the 14th?

Hi, I just wanted to wish all of you good luck.

I was invited for an interview on Nov 2nd and absolutely loved the school and it's unique vision. It is definitely my top choice!
So i'm keeping my fingers crossed for an acceptance as well. 🙂

Just got the call from REL...I'm on the upper 1/3 of the waitlist. He said I'm in an excellent position to get an acceptance offer at some point. This was much better news than I expected!! This is such an excellent school!!

reidmike--sounds like you must be in the upper of the upper 1/3, so congrats on that. I would imagine if Mr. Larkin says you are in an excellent position, you should hear good news!

Thanks guys! I am so excited . I feel like christmas came early this year. Nice to know that I will continue to stay in orlando for 4 more years and that I will be going to a really great new school.

Ftrflyr29 - I joined your face book group but there are only three of us. I wonder where the other 17 accepted students are at?

Reidmike - Hopefully you will get accepted later on. Dont give up hope yet!

I do not own a computer, and I know I need one for med school. Is the laptop included with our tuition, if not how much is it and is there a certain provider we have to go through? I thought is was included, but maybe I am mistaken?
 
I think people do not want to commit here until they know how much money they are going to get towards tuition, or not sure they are coming, or waitng to see what other offers they have. People will start repping us more concretely once they know some definites.
As for me this is my home LOL😍😍😍😍

Good Luck! It's an awesome day. I guess they are interviewing on Monday this week due to the upcoming holidays.

Try to put yourself at ease and take it all in. It's very impressive.

The most recent interview feedback is very accurate to my day. They have standardized questions, a few of which are ethical, so think about the situations in the interview feedback! Otherwise, just try to relax. Best of luck!
 
I have my interview tomorrow. I'm so pumped...especially after reading everything you guys have said here! 😀

It went really well! I had such a good time meeting the students, faculty, and other applicants. I was not expecting three current med students to spend so much time with us. So, if you have an interview try to think of questions for the med students ahead of time because they are more than willing to answer them.

I can't wait until Jan when REL calls :xf:😀
 
If anyone living in the central Florida area is still looking to buy some suits for interviews (and misc. stuff for the next 4 years or so), Suit City in Orlando has a good sale this week. They're doing a doorbusters sale, and I got 4 nice suits for $200. They measured and adjusted them to fit me perfectly, too. I don't know how their prices usually are, but with the sale I can't imagine finding much better.

To be honest I didn't know where to post this so anyone who can benefit would see it (without seeming like a big ad). I just figured the central Florida school is going to have the most central Florida applicants.

I still really hope I get an interview here. Waiting for results is agonizing...better than getting a rejection right away, though.

yeah I'm definitely still stuck at the eligible for interview selection status on my dashboard. i'm actually visiting orlando right now and i think i'm going to run by the school and check it out at some point....only i kind of want to see their new campus....which isn't built yet...right?
 
Thanks guys! I am really looking forward to the interview. From the above posts, it seems like everyone is really impressed with UCF and I can't wait to learn more about the school!
