Don't drive yourself too crazy. 🙂 It'll only come in the mail.
Good luck!
Good luck!
Still haven't heard anything. Admissions must be swamped.
Has anyone talked with Dean McCurdy or Jason at the office? Just curious if they've sent the letters out for interviewees from earlier this month.
Did they get in?
Hold until March.
ah, the death sentence! worse than a straight rejection!
does anyone know when they are mailing out the orientation package? soon or not until way later?
Congratulations pkpHawks87, scoutnj19, and Auriga!
Scoutnj19~ are you the first acceptance from the re-interviewees of EDP?? Anyone else with good news?
I still have my email with my interview invitation from way back in October and it does not mention any reception of any type...
Im sure this has been posted before but maybe its worth asking again.. Does anyone know when they will be sending out the admissions packets? Thanks in advance.

Do you mean the packet of more information that was mentioned in the acceptance letter?
I got mine about 2 months after acceptance. They ask you to sign some forms about academic honesty and the like and then ask for your transcript and $50 to hold your spot.
Then they say we won't hear from them again until late spring.
It wasn't very exciting OR informative. 😎 Literally there was nothing there that was important.
And no - I was never invited to no reception! Dang it!![]()
Yea that is what I was referring to. Thanks!
I called Jason Edwards on Monday and he told me that letters for those who interviewed on January 20-22 would be sent out Tuesday (yesterday). Has anyone who interviewed on those dates received a letter in the mail yet?
I got in 🙂. How did you know that I was an OOS applicant? I met a few in-state applicants during the interview day.
I'm in-state and I interviewed in January. I got my "on hold" letter today. Does anyone have any reliable statistics on how many people placed on hold are accepted in March? Also, does anyone know how many people have been accepted off the waitlist in the past few years? I know it's variable from year to year, but I'm just interested in see the stats.
Thanks! I haven't decided yet and I still have to hear back from a couple more schools. I'd say that it's pretty likely that I'll end up at KU though as I really liked my visit there. Do you know if they let students defer one year? I've been thinking about that for a while.
I posted some statistics a while back, ~40 % of accepted or top 10 waitlist, but these numbers are speculation. I would consider just emailing Jason just to hear it from a better source.
Thanks for the response. I called Mr. Edwards earlier today and he said that he couldn't disclose that information. How confident are you in the stats you posted? It seems pretty reasonable to me. I'm hoping to matriculate at KU and having to wait until March will be unbearable.
getting "on hold" is the death sentence. i would just take it as a rejection so you don't feel any pressure come March. some on-holders are rejected, some are accepted, and most are waitlisted.
Well I was in your position last year and I got a letter from KU around the March 15th and it did show the numbers taken off the wait list for every year since 2000 (I looked for my post with the actual numbers but can't find it). I do remember very well that up through 2008 (as I was on the wait list to enter in 2009), the average number of people taken off the wait list was 32 and change. There was one year where they took 5 and another recent year where they took 13. Other than those two years, there were no years less than 20 and there was even one year where they took over 60.
Be wary of how much stock to put in these numbers as a painful lesson I learned last year when I was #9 on the wait list and they called 7 people off the list. I was very happy being in the top-10 but it did not work out. That is not to say that your situation won't, it certainly varies from year-to-year. Good luck.
