Is there a student host program offered for people interviewing at the Phoenix campus? I've got an interview for mid-November and was not sure if this is something that has been set up.

I interviewed yesterday and they never mentioned it in the emails leading up to the day, during the day itself, or during the interview day survey. You should call Wendy to confirm.
So does the, "Secondary Materials Received" e-mail count as our, "Complete" e-mail for the Tucson campus? Or is there an actual complete e-mail later?
Nevermind, I'm assuming that was the complete e-mail because I got an II within 2 hours.
Complete 10/13
Interview Invite 10/13
Interview 11/1 (Best available)
Was this in Tucson? I feel like I remember you were going to Tucson. Regardless, I'm glad you had a good experience at your interview.
Yep! Tucson indeed. I have my Phoenix interview on Nov. 1st and I am getting excited about that one as well! It will be interesting to see the different culture/vibe the Phoenix campus has, as well as learn more about their mysterious interview process.
Phoenix sends the first round of acceptances tomorrow. Good luck to everyone.![]()
I didn't expect it to be this quiet in here. Was anyone accepted?
but this wait is still torture. Hoping to see someone with an acceptance email to put me out of my misery. I think once i get past this first acceptance decision it will be easier to just sit back and let things roll.
By the way, to those who get an acceptance, congrats! There were a lot of great applicants when i interviewed.
I seemto remember most of the acceptance release emails last year going out a little later in the afternoon, like around 3pm. Of course my memory at this point is completely unreliable for anything save pelvis, perineum, and lower extremity anatomy, which I am in the process of dumping to make room for neuro.
Do we find out either way? Or do the non-accepted folks know simply by lack of an acceptance email?
From what Tara told us, we will only hear from admissions if we are accepted. If you don't get an email, just assume your app is still under review. Then we get to wait for another two weeks.
Has anyone gotten an acceptance for phoenix yet?
Basically you could be accepted any time from now until March 1st, where you will either be rejected or informed you are on the waitlist. They do not tell you your ranking on the waitlist.
Keep in mind, that each release date they only accept a tiny percentage of the class. This means, the vast majority of the 400+ interviewers will find out on March 1st.
Accepted in Phoenix at 3:46p today. Just read the message and called my parents! 😍
Can't wait to see what comes next - I remember Ms. Cunningham saying we could come back to spend a day on campus and attend classes.

Woo hoo! I'm so happy for you. You can PM either me or Shep if you have any questions about the campus.
I'd PM me if I were you. I'm funner.
Or me! I may be quiet, but I'm always here, lurking in the shadows...
Hey guys,
I was just wondering if anyone can clarify something... I interviewed at the Phoenix campus about 2 weeks ago(second round of interviews). If I didn't get an acceptance yesterday, does it mean I'm less competitive than the other candidates that were accepted and they need to compare me to a larger pool of candidates? or was it simply because they didn't get to review my application in the past round? I'm pretty worried about this...Has anyone in the past interviewed really early and ended up getting accepted a lot later?
I remember they made a presentation regarding this at the interview, but I don't remember the details to this.
Thanks!
No need to worry yet! I interviewed in early October last year, and was accepted in December. They only accept very few students each round.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't acceptance start to go out in december last year? Regardless, March is a long way away, and they accept people until then.
Going to the UA Phoenix Meet & Greet Student Mixer tonight...pretty excited! Such a cool idea. Anyone else going? Can't wait to interview tomorrow!
Yeah, I interviewed in early December and was accepted in February. And me and Salt are pretty much the most amazingly competitive, super awesome, all around funnest people in our class (though her david lee murphy sig makes me laugh. Who color codes stuff like that? Lol old people). I guess Phospho is too, kind of. I'm still a little jealous that her rock climbing skillz have surpassed mine, though. Wait, what were we talking about?
...
Pretty much our entire class is fun. Of the 92% of the class that fits into that category, our levels of awesomeness range from "pretty much" to "insanely freaking." Also Shep, can you be considered fun if your only social activities are SDN and ping pong? We did go to that allegedly straight bar one time, but we both failed to bring the awesomeness.
First of all I do way more stuff, I just don't do it with you. And secondly, I wanted to keep going that night but you were all "I need to get home because I'm an arthritic grandpa and it's 10:00"
I got the following email :
Thank you for your interest in The University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix for the entering class of 2011. We have received your AMCAS and Secondary Application and will continue to consider your file for an interview invitation, although not able to extend an offer to you today.
We know this uncertainty makes it tough to plan for the future; we will do our best to conclude our interview invitations by mid-November.
We wish you the best in your pursuit of becoming a physician. Keep engaged and continue working hard to fulfill your goals.
Does this equal rejection? Does phoenix accept letters of interest pre interview?
