To champaigne and hoot: are you in state or out of state?
News from Phoenix...Received information from a credible source that UA-PHX is pretty overbooked in terms of the amount of acceptances they handed out so hoepfully waitlist movement isnt going to be slim to none.![]()
When I was accepted at the Phoenix campus I looked at the acceptance list some time in late February and it looked like it already had around 90 acceptances for 48 seats. Not to bring bad news for anyone hoping to get in off the waitlist. I gave my seat up so I hope a SDN'er gets it!
Congrats! Are you thinking you're going to attend?
Arizona Gov Brewer signed House Bill 2410 recently giving honorably discharged veterans automatic in state tuition rates.
If any of you veterans are on the fence and currently OOS this could be a deciding factor!
Can we please make a time machine and jump to July where we all know the final outcome?
neurojunkie, you work in research, right? Make it happen!
several pages ago someone said that it was speculated there would be greater wait list movement this year than last year - does anyone know why? just wishful thinking or fact based? just trying to keep hopes up 🙂

Challenge accepted. However, in order to get proper IRB approval, we may not see a prototype until late June/early July. However, I can assure you that after a few minutes of tinkering around, you will be able to move forward in time by AT LEAST a few minutes.

Also, what about funding? We're gonna need at least an R01 for this. You get started writing the grant, I'll catch up later and maybe do some editing.
No worries. I have an old grant that I need to spend down before it expires....and being that UA research funding regulations won't allow for me to spend grant money on a commercial espresso machine (see below), I might as well build a time machine for my fellow SDNers.

i think i'm hoping someone will come up with a magical equation that'll tell us at what number and when the wait list will stop - boo having to be patient. thanks for help with the speculation!
Luckily, my watch is constitutively set to "coffee o'clock". Having an espresso machine of that caliber may actually end up being problematic, because I know that I would want to convert it into a backpack, install a remote power supply, and take it everywhere I go.

Someone in a previous message said that Phoenix won't be making any decisions on the waitlist until today because their committee has to meet. I assume that they are going to meet every week or so to decide on the waitlist candidates.
jdog40 accepted 4/25. Go wildcats🙂

On the plus side of things, this year has the steepest slope for a waitlist acceptance curve yet.
