it's DOOMSDAY.. I will be frightened to open my email all week :scared:

The good news is that we will finally have some concrete information on our status. The bad news is that until then, our e-mail refresh buttons will once again be terribly abused.

Good luck to everyone waiting with me and until that waitlist goes out- keep calm and carry on!

I am hopeful, but already planning what I am going to do for next year's application....... Hope for the best, but plan for the worst, good luck everyone.....

Is there a possibility that they might release their list later in the evening? Previousely, they have sent out all their emails around 10am.

I know that this year's application process has been drastically different than last year's, so this may not be worth much, but I was on the waitlist last year and received my email in the middle of the afternoon. So anything is possible 🙂

The day is either today or tomorrow.

Great, I was planning on getting work done...... now I won't be able to think about anything else........ except for cake.................mmmmmmmm

makes me think of an Eddie Izzard joke........ "Cake or Death?" "Oh I'll have cake please!"

So close i can feel it im gonna be 69 !!!!

Well we're OUT of cake. We only had 3 bits and we didn't expect such a rush.

....so my choice is "-or death?"

"Death..... Wait, I mean Cake!" "No, no, you said death."

Thank you for flying Church of England. Cake or Death?

It's always good to know that other people appreciate the great Eddie Izzard, too.

I'm left wanting cake now, though.

There are several Eddie Izzard shows on Netflix - I just had a marathon. That lego Death Star thing cracks me up every time.

It's weird to think that we're all waiting to hear from Tucson because I for one haven't heard a peep from them since I interviewed in October! Here's hoping for some low waitlist positions for those of us who have driven ourselves crazy scraping for any information we can find on SDN...

I second that! Although I interviewed in December, haven't had to wait quite as long!

I found UofA Tucson to be one of the more proactive schools to applicants. They were the only school that I applied to that sent out courtesy information such as financial aid regardless of what medical school you choose to attend. They also were one of the rare schools that actually shared information and ballpark dates to applicants when asked. In short they were far more forthcoming and proactive than the other schools I applied.

Good luck on the wait-list numbers. I hope the turmoil ends soon.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I was in no way dogging on Tucson. I actually really enjoyed my interview there and pray every day for acceptance. I was simply stating that in comparison with the Phoenix campus, and a couple other schools that I applied to, I feel like I have been out of touch for quite some time. Perhaps because they are the only school I interviewed at that doesn't have a portal where students can check their status. At any rate, I would be absolutely thrilled to matriculate there.

No worries, I understand. I think it should be standard operating procedure to have a web portal or something similar. I would think it would save the admissions office from several redundant phone calls of all of us freaking out. That is of course assuming they actually update it with useful information. I have also had a few schools that minimally updated the portal and gave no dates of release or anything.

Good luck, fingers crossed

LAST YEAR the waitlist went out at 1:11 P.M., Arizona time.

Thanks for letting us know! Even though last years timing may not correlate to this years, every piece of information is helpful.

I'll try not to start staring obsessively at my inbox until noon, then.

I have a friend who just received a waitlist position, so it has been sent out now. Good luck to everyone!

Just got the tucson campus waitlist email, does the waitlist go out all at once or does it get emailed in sections?

Gosh MedHopeful777, why don't you just go to your CBI or something. Haha JK

But seriously, good luck to all those on the wait list!
(captain obvious alert) Every year is different so what number will the wait list go till is hard to predict.
(Tough love alert) 1-45 golden; 45-65 very possible; 65-75 just look at your plan B and make sure you are ready to act on it when the time comes; 75-80 really finalize your plan B; 80-125 just start plan B and be grateful that amcas keeps all the class info you submitted last year.

Nothing over here either and my last name is at the begining of the alphabet.

When did you interview Bear Down. I interviewd the beggining of January. Oh and I'm OOS WICHE

Got the waitlist email. Interviewed late September or early October.

Can somebody remind me how many people made it off the waitlist last year? I'm at work, and can't look through the thread.

it was around 75

Does this mean I should expect to be on the rejection list than?😕

Congrats to everyone on the waitlist

#57... its going to be a long wait.

Oh Arizona, I really don't know what you want anymore.

FWIW, each email has the rank written directly in it, so it's not like they just send you a link that lists your number. Point being, if theyre doing them one by one as they send them out, there may be a big chunk of time between when the first and the last get it. Who knows if they're doing it alpabetically, by interview date, by rank...

So, maybe there's hope...

Just got a rejection email. I have other options and it's not likely I would have attended here anyway, so not too disheartened.

My stats: 36/3.99, full-time summer research, about 100 hours volunteering at UMC/Kino, shadowed various specialties, some other clinical kind of jobs (I handled all this while getting married and having kids), 2 year mission experience. At my interview back in September, my interviewer spent a lot of the time talking about why he thought I was a great applicant.

Of course, there must be some glaring flaw in my application in the eyes of the adcom for me to not even make the waitlist, but I simply wanted to share my anecdote to be added to the rather large list of pretty stellar applicants that the UA didn't give a chance. Hopefully it gives some small bit of consolation to other applicants who were not accepted at UA.

Congrats to those accepted/on the wait list. May all of your wildest dreams come true and may you live happily ever after.

Thanks for the consolation.:xf:

This is excruciating. I guess rejection letters are being sent individually as well.

Well, just got off the phone with Ann - All the waitlist emails have gone out...oh well, maybe next year.

I got my e-mail at 10:15am. I'm #73. I think I'll start working on my plan B!
