Just received a reply from UTHSCSA- indeed they sent out all the pre-match offers for today this morning (and I wasn't on the list 🙁)
Ironically I received a pre-match offer at the same time from Tech!! Yay! That definitely turned around a dark day!

YES! Last year they sent out two pre-match batches.... the second was released on December 24th around 11 pm-ish... basically a lil early christmas/holiday gift for about 50 ppl.

What were your interview dates??
 
Did anybody that interviewed early november hear back yet? I interviewed Nov. 1st and am curious if anybody else from that round has heard back yet.

Hey I interviewed on Nov. 1st also, has UTHSCSA showed up on your ranking yet?

nope. Sure wish I had the same emails that others keep getting. guess I'll be playing the waiting game for a couple more months.
 
Got my pre-match email this morning at 8:13 CST. This school was my top choice, and my only interview.

- if they didn't even have time to put us up on tmdsas, then i really don't think they would have had time to evaluate us, so that we could have been considered for the pre-match offers that just went out.

Do you mean that it makes sense not to hear back yet, if no match rank is available. Or, do you mean that you also interviewed Nov. 1st and haven't yet heard back?

Email acceptance early this morning; interviewed mid-September; in-state. Really impressed by the people I met and heard speak at UT San Antonio!!
 
While taking my anatomy practical today I noticed what date it was and realized one year ago I was freaked out because I didn't pre-match here. To everyone who hasn't heard yet stay strong, there will be more pre-match batches, the match (I matched), and post match acceptances. Many of my class mates got accepted other than by pre-match. Don't worry!

I know this has probably already been discussed, but how many pre-match batches do they send out?

And when do they usually send them? I saw someone say around dec24? What a christmas gift for those lucky folks!
 
Has anyone made a facebook group yet for class of 2015? I'm so excited about this school and meeting everyone in our class!! 🙂

got an interview invite last thursday for november 29!! i really am hoping that the school doesn't give out just one batch of prematches. being in the waiting game for so long is killer...

Anyone with dec interview invite yet? seems like mondays are interview days...is this true?

Hey, I just got an email from a school liaison student (MS-1), 2 weeks post-interview (just asking if I had any questions about UTHSC-SA going into the match). I'm sure these are standard, and everyone gets them, but figured i would ask if all other interviewees have received them as well.

Pre-match/match stuff, I think is for in-state students. As for OOS, every school I think has a set number of oos that they accept every year. They offer acceptances to oos from oct. 15 and onward until they fill the spots. Hopefully. someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

That sounds about right. By law, they can only matriculate 10% OOS, so, since UTHSCSA matriculates 220 per year, they can only take in 22 or fewer OOS.

I got the interview invite this past thursday. I will be declining the invite though so hopefully someone on here that is waiting for an invite gets it.

OOS don't participate in the match system.

during dean Jone's presentation, he said that uthscsa interviews ~1000 people and accept around 450 for a class of ~220. i also believe he said that they accept around 50 oos and about 20 end up coming.

they don't interview many oos, and i think the post-interview acceptance rate is fairly high (compared to other public state schools for oos)

Anybody pre-match today. I didn't, but I'm trying to figure out if they're doing them weekly like they did last year.
