Does anyone know the chance of additional student hosts opening up? I could stay in a hotel but would rather avoid the extra cost.

I would imagine that of all the schools out there, Michigan would be the one to look at received applications in order. They surely have one of if not the most aggressive rolling admissions policy.
In any case, this is all pure speculation as we are not the admissions committee.
FWIW It's been over a month since I've been complete. They have likely seen my application, and probably doesn't interest them enough to give me an interview so early. I do hope, however, that I hear *some* news soon.

they look at each application multiple times, if you're still under review, it's a good thing

I'm from Michigan but I went to undergrad OOS. Does anyone know if I should submit an application for residency classification? A few of my friends were asked to fill one out when they applied to transfer to the undergrad school. I was wondering how the process worked for the med school (or if it only matters for tuition, not admissions, purposes).
I am in the same situation and asked admissions about it and they said you only need to complete the form after you've been admitted for tuition purposes. So you don't need to worry about filling that out now.

at least we know that progress is being made. I think I said this before somewhere, but this process has taught me about patience (it was either that or chronic panic attacks, so I chose the former.)

Anyone know if it would be possible to have someone help hook us up with tickets to the Michigan Notre Damne game? I am interviewing the thursday before the game and would love to check it out... (yea I am guessing its a looong shot

Funny, my best friend (who didn't go to my school) told me a while back, "You'll be fine; they really like people from [my school]."
That said, I'm not too quick to mark school attended as the underlying factor in early invites. If it is a factor at all, it probably has to do with a school's perceived personality (as it may be reflected in an applicant, and as it relates to Michigan's). Just a thought.
Tickets for that game will be really hard to find or very expensive since it's the first night game in the big house!
yea I figured as such, and I am slightly worried about the impression I would give if I asked the admissions rep if they had any way to facilitate that.... I just have always loved Michigan football anyhow and to be in town for such a big game...

Anyone receive info on the Thursday night dinner they allude to on the website? Or any previous applicants know when that starts? I'm looking at a couple of flight options and don't know whether it's worth it to get the earlier one for this reason. Thanks!

Newp. They announced the dinner on the twitter and the facebook, and then:
"Just finished private team meeting-announcement all applicants will like coming this month!"
Also, they said "all applicants"... Hm.

Definitely. Michigan is very aggressive with their rolling admissions. Earlier the better.
