anyone else feel a bit like they're waiting on a phone call from their potential prom date?
No...more like waiting for a phone call from my future wife

potential future wife. she's going to interview you first before she agrees to sign on that dotted line.
update from UMich:
"Some pretty exciting news for all applicants coming soon!"
commence neurotic speculation!

I hope it's that they'll have more seats/interview spots this cycle!![]()

I've been under review since 7/10... does that essentially mean a rejection?
Not necessarily. Pretty sure they don't review applications in the exact order they were received. They just may not have looked at yours yet (or mine, for that matter) 🙂![]()

Not as good as being extended an interview...they look at each application multiple times, if you're still under review, it's a good thing

Go Blue! Let's see some more interview invites tomorrow morning 😍
Yup, and hopefully one of them is for meUnder review since 7/6 and hopin for some michigan love. Good luck to the rest of you too!
I'm from Michigan but I went to undergrad OOS. Does anyone know if I should submit an application for residency classification? A few of my friends were asked to fill one out when they applied to transfer to the undergrad school. I was wondering how the process worked for the med school (or if it only matters for tuition, not admissions, purposes).
Do you guys think that the school you attended plays a big factor in getting early invites? I am starting to feel like it might
Anyone know if it would be possible to have someone help hook us up with tickets to the Michigan Notre Damne game? I am interviewing the thursday before the game and would love to check it out... (yea I am guessing its a looong shot
Tickets for that game will be really hard to find or very expensive since it's the first night game in the big house!
I am in the same situation and asked admissions about it and they said you only need to complete the form after you've been admitted for tuition purposes. So you don't need to worry about filling that out now.
at least we know that progress is being made. I think I said this before somewhere, but this process has taught me about patience (it was either that or chronic panic attacks, so I chose the former.)
whenever you feel overwhelmed - do something fun! For me, it's exercising.
*steps off soap box*
and of course, best of luck to all of us!
Anyone receive info on the Thursday night dinner they allude to on the website? Or any previous applicants know when that starts? I'm looking at a couple of flight options and don't know whether it's worth it to get the earlier one for this reason. Thanks!
.Do you guys think the dinner option is the exciting news for all applicants they were tweeting about?
Yeah I think that's what it was. Pretty exciting! Now I just want an interview here even more 😀
Do you guys think there's an advantage to interviewing earlier at UMich, especially before the first acceptance date?
