Nope, no pets in housing. The only way you could do it is if you get a note from a doctor that you need a service dog. I want one too 🙁

has anyone from the 11/5 giant interview group heard back yet? super nervous right now

I'm guessing those who haven't heard back get to enjoy the wait-list limbo. Yay, nay?

Congrats to all that are ACCEPTED! Please feel free to contact me or any of the other Einstein students around here.

Einstein is an AMAZING place to be. Like many of the Einstein students on this forum have emphasized, Einstein is a very unique and awesome place.

Best of luck to everyone!

Excited for you guys who got accepted!!! I just interviewed, so I'll be waiting for a while. Do any current students know how long it takes after interviewing during the lot rolling admissions?

Are you guys getting these emails just now or hours ago/in the morning?

looks like waitlist for the rest of us? couple of people got rejected via email, but no waitlist emails so far.

Accepted this morning at 10:53!! Interviewed October 12th I believe. Will most likely be withdrawing for my top choice but still very happy to have been accepted here!!

Accepted at 10:58am, Interviewed 9/19/2012.

Has anyone else still not received the Criminal Background Check e-mail?

maybe im just bitter, because it's my second rejection, but i think they are accepting people who they think have a higher chance of matriculating and rejecting those with higher stats?

it seems strange that someone with my stats 36/3.75/URM would be rejected at this school, when I have already been accepted to top 20's...do schools talk to one another?

Not trying to start an argument, just a thought, and I still wanna genuinely congratulate those who did make it!!!

you have an average gpa with slightly above average mcat, so i don't think it's because your such an overly awesome superstar. your comments in each of the school-specific threads are pretty entertaining though. i'll make sure to bow if we ever meet.

edit: also, i was accepted! maybe it's because i'm a low-life and they think i'll attend??

Ill agree with the comment above. That's not the way they do it here. Your gpa and mcat aren't all that it is. Einstein isn't just a numbers school (nor is many other schools)
Also, your GPA and MCAT aren't insanely high that you should be going around assuming that you are top 1%.

It could also have been that they didn't like your resume, essay, interview, etc.
Don't be so quick to backhandedly insult those that were accepted today..

But anyways, if it was purely a numbers game, Einstein doesn't reject people with higher stats because they would assume those people would go elsewhere. We have many students here that have your stats and much higher, and chose Einstein..

(Sorry if this seems harsh, but your comment was a bit eh...)

maybe its your personality?

Like BloodyHell said, Einstein isn't really a school about numbers. I truly believe that my classmates are phenomenal people. Ask any MS1 and MS2 at Einstein and they will all say that the students at Einstein are special in many unique ways. You won't understand that until you get here.

I personally believe that Einstein is a good fit for many of my classmates. We are all quirky, slightly weird, and HILARIOUS people. My classmates are some of the funniest people I have ever met! At the same time, we work hard, party hard, and most seems to have some global health/international health interest.

If Einstein was truly about numbers, they would waitlist you, wait for you to write a LOI and then accept you. Some of my friends got rejected from Einstein straight off the bat and didn't get waitlisted. They all went to other medical schools. They were simply not good fit for Einstein. Furthermore, there are students that got accepted today who are in your range of MCAT scores. There are students in my class with MCAT scores over 36 (even over 40). So numbers can only get you so far. There are people in my class who turned down better ranked schools because Einstein was a better fit for them.

I truly believe that if you didn't get accepted to Einstein, it means that you were not a good fit for the school. The Admissions Office pick students that they know will fit well here. My friends and I all feel that way.

Best of luck!
