i got the complete email yesterday. mine still stays no decision has been made. and i think thats exactly what it means, i.e. they have not looked at our apps yet.
 
invited for interview! 2MD interview offers wooop!! :soexcited:

completed 8/21 and scheduled for oct 2nd...have an interview the next day at jefferson. Holy flight plan changes...

Gratz! Mind sharing your stats? I too was complete on 8/21 so it's getting close I suppose
 
Status page is letting me select an Interview date so I'll take that as a II. I'm hoping to combine a trip with Jefferson and Georgetown in DC. I heard Megabus is a pretty cheap option to get between the cities? I was complete 8/7

Log onto your secondary and follow the trail!
 
I was complete 8/17 and still says

"Your file is complete and will be reviewed. "
 
I just checked the portal and got the "unoffical rejection, no wait, we'll reconsider you in the spring" message.

Thank you for your application. Your file has been reviewed by a member of our Admissions Committee. While we have decided not invite you for an interview at this time, we would like to re-evaluate your application again in the spring should interview spots remain. We have many completed applications to review and wish to hold on a final decision on your application until later in the cycle. Again, thank you for your interest in Drexel College of Medicine.

Weird cause my app was complete yesterday (8/27) and on the status page is says "No Decision Has Been Made" so if I eventually see it to Your app is ready and I don't get an invite in a timely manner then...no invite for me 🙁

Oh i so hope for some luck for us 3.5ers. OOS 3.5/34 here and complete yesterday. Hope to get an interview invite as well

I scheduled mine around Oct 22. I want a lot of time to prepare. Yeah, I'm 3.44c 3.5s 31 MCAT for those who are curious. I did horribly my first year but had a significant upward trend in my gpa. This is my first interview invite. Still waiting on 24 schools.. Gah
 
yo homies, I have a quick question. How many interviews do you think is a good amount for someone that has applied to about 20 schools? I mean overall out of the 20. I know someone here is gonna say "chill dont start worrying yet" and to you I say *FALCON PUNCH*. I worry when I want to.😎

Haha! I think regardless of how many interviews we get most of us will continue to worry up until we get that first acceptance. I have 4 invites so far and while the first one felt like a huge weight was lifted, my worrying still has not stopped! It seems I calm after each invite then the worrying starts to build up again then drops again after an invite and so on...yes, a wave curve lol!
 
Did everybody get an email stating that they were complete? My status tells me that I am complete, but I have received no such email.

It says no decision is currently available, which is weird. Should I call to clarify that my app is complete?
 
That's really weird. I used to have that status and it recently changed to this new one. However, I never received an official email.

You status just means that all the material is there, but it hasn't been reviewed by the admission committee. Keep in mind that DUCOM gets aver 12,000 applications a year, so it takes a while to get through them. Based on talking with my class, before January interviews seem to be better, but we still have a lot of people who interviewed January and later. Good luck.

I've stayed with my experiences for many years and I connected my activities descriptions to tell a story that's consistent with my personal statement. Also, I now personally know all of my letter writers (all professors that I got to know well) and I feel the letters were incredibly strong, not just the typical "John got an A in my class and sat in the front row; therefore, he should be a doctor."

This game is not only about numbers.

Agreed. It's mainly about numbers. And when it's not, it usually involves a very unique candidate. Props to you.

While the GPA may be considered a little low, the MCAT compensates. I'd say your numbers are good overall. I'm surprised by the "magical EC" comment...
