Hello everyone,

Sorry I have been MIA. I am a current first year at Meharry. I would like to clarify some information I see on here. There are a 105 seats in the class, but you guys are only vying for 85 of those. 20 seats are saved for the Master's in Health Science(MHS) aka the Post-Bac program. So if you are being considered for the MHS, it's a great opportunity as long as you work hard. If you work hard and fulfill the requirements, you will be automatically in with the following years class. If you are in the top 10% of the waitlist, you are MOST likely going to be a part of the in coming class, so pray hard that people give up their seats.

Last year orientation started on June 25th. MAPS lasted for 6 weeks and our regular semester began right after. Med school is no joke, so relax and prepare yourself for June and be prepared to work hard. Watching the Match Day Program at school today made me realize what we are all working towards. I hope 3 years from now for me and hopefully 4 years from now for you guys, we can all be smiling.

This is not a rumor...I have a buddy thats withdrawing next week.

YES it is! Anyone who was accepted ... Have you received a packet in the mail regarding matriculation/ or just signed dean letter and emails for financial aid ? Good luck to all future interviewees, interview day is not stressful!!

No packet in the mail. Just signed letter and emails regarding financial aid
 
Here's a good one! Any accepted students probably going to end up declining Meharry's offer?

Well the more people that may withdraw, it does open more space for those waiting.

Right! ...and that is why I was asking if any accepted students on SDN are planning on giving up their place!

This is the school closest to giving me an acceptance (waitlisted), so I probably wont dropping acceptance anytime soon.

It is the most expensive one that I've got a chance at, so I'd drop my spot if of my other two "undecided" schools gives me a chance.

Yeah, I can understand that! I mean people who are holding an actual acceptance now - All of the people in the top 10% and other waitlisted people probably would be interested in knowing if a few people are dropping out for sure - Obviously SDN is not representative of the whole accepted applicant pool, but its a start!

True, you would think that most would like to not lose their deposit if they are sitting on multi acceptances and know they wouldn't chose Meharry. I had not realized that was their deadline for deposit refund.

Also, for individuals holding multiple acceptances the deadline to choose one school is April 15th or May 15th. Since Meharry's first day begins prior to july 30th, April 15th is the deadline. So there should be a lot of waitlist movement after that.

Even April 15th is super far away lol
 
I don't know about anyone else but I have been asked numerous times by the professors who have written letters of rec. for me whether I had good news yet. I'm tired of answering still waiting!

I agree - The people that want to know should realize that there would be absolutely no doubt in their mind that I have heard good news when the time comes...its like "no, I will just walk by you and pretend I didn't hear good news, although I just did..." yeah right...
 
Does anyone know where I can find the 2013 match list for 2013 ? Thank you very much.
 
When looking back at past years, this year's thread is super quiet - I wonder what is going on here lol :laugh:

I had to call the records dept and request the match list for 2012. They don't openly post it on the website. I am not sure why either, because they match some very competive residencies

Already interviewed, but out of curiousity have they informed you it is for waitlist only? We haven't seen any acceptances in a while and have wondered if that is because interviews have been for waitlist only or what.
