A query of our records showed that after certifying and submitting your supplemental application to Temple University School of Medicine, you selected the “Pay Here QuikPay” button to pay the $75 supplemental application fee. Your supplemental application fee payment was not listed on our report from QuikPay and we believe that there was an error while you were attempting to pay the $75. We have reset the payment function in TempleMedOnline and you can now log back in and submit the $75 supplemental application fee.

As a reminder, please make sure your pop-up blocker is off and you have your credit card ready to make the payment. QuikPay will automatically time out after 5 minutes.

To find the link to pay, please login to tmo.temple.edu and select the `Supplemental` tab.

Thank you for your interest in Temple University School of Medicine and we look forward to reviewing your application once complete.

I got it too (try reading some posts above yours). I sent them my confirmation number, but they haven't gotten back to me yet.

*under review* for me 🙂 here we go!!!!!! it is so incredible how these statuses up the ante on our nervous systems lol

Man. Temple is pissing me off. My payment was received and approved on the 11th, but they're saying they didn't get it. **** that. It's on my credit card statement AND I have a confirmation number. Delaying my application by a week or more? Cmon.

This is sort of what I talked about on the previous page :-/

Did you try calling?

FYI - I called the admissions office last Wednesday (7/11) because my payment didn't go through on Tuesday night (site was under maintenance and then the 5-minute window expired) and was told that the QuikPay website was having "internal issues" and it wouldn't be fixed until Monday (7/16).

I would assume that if your payment shows up on your credit card statement and you have a confirmation number, then you're safe, but it can't hurt to call and check - the lady I spoke with was very helpful! And I guess we're all delayed the same amount of time by this payment issue, so oh well 🙄

Some people were updated to "Completed" meaning their payment was fine. I guess I'm glad I'm not the only one affected though.

WELCOME TO TEMPLEMEDONLINE! :: ENTERING YEAR 2013

THANK YOU, WE HAVE RECEIVED YOUR APPLICATION.

I think it used to say "WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED PAYMENT" so I guess all is well.

Get used to that status. They are slow, no question. If this is accurate, TUSM was the 6th most applied to medical school last year. They have a lot of apps to go through. http://www.usnews.com/education/bes...2012/04/17/10-most-applied-to-medical-schools

I was under review for nearly 2 1/2 months when I applied. Try not to fret over it too much. Distract yourself if you can, especially once all your apps are in and you're complete everywhere. 🙂

Yes yes yes. I was under review until January and accepted in February. PLEASE be patient! They don't review apps overnight. Some people will never be offered an interview and will be under review until next August.

Don't check it every day. You will drive yourself crazy. As geekchick said, find something to distract yourself because this process is so so long, and not just for temple.

So does "UNDER REVIEW" mean that we have been complete???

Temple acknowledged their payment mistake. All is well except that they delayed my app for a week.

I met someone from Temple admissions last week at a professional school fair. She said that their early applicant numbers are up almost 30% this year and she doesn't expect that they'll even start screening until mid-August... :/

Do you remember her name? Audrey Uknis perchance?

I contacted the admissions office asking if they would be able to send an admissions person to talk at our school in the fall. I'm surprised I actually got a response considering how busy they must be!

please clarify this post.

when you say early applicant, do you mean early decision or just the people who submitted their amcas super early?

also, what do you mean by "screening until mid august". screening as in using a computer to filter before a human looks at the app?

i gather from your post that temple is very busy working on early decision applicants right now whom, i suppose, they look at without a computer screen. afterwards, they use a computer screen to look at regular applicants.

can't the computer screening process move you up if you have a high mcat or a high gpa? moreover, if they have a computer screen pool, why do people have their application sitting for 2 months? that's make more sense with paper applications. but computer screens can help find applicants of interest and move them up.

By "early applicant" she meant people applying early on in the cycle, like in June/July, which is pushing their normal timeline back a bit since they are having to process a greater number of applications. I'm not sure how Temple screens post-secondary (computer vs. actual person), but what I took her comment to mean that they will be doing some kind of number cut-off for MCAT/GPA from those who submitted a secondary. Let me know if I can clarify something else- sorry for not being clear!

thanks for the response. the post was clear enough but i was just being ocd. so when she says that they won't start screening until august 15, i assume they mean for the current batch of people who are applying. thanks a lot!

Yep! They'll start screening in mid-august with the applications they've already received and processed (mostly june and july applicants).

still haven't received the secondary... should I email admission?

How would putting N/A look on this question?

If you indicated St. Luke's Regional Campus or one of our clinical campuses (Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Geisinger Health System, or West Penn Allegheny Health System) as your first choice, please describe the nature of your special interest. Otherwise, please type N/A to continue.

I'm from CA and don't really know much about theses campuses... I am interested in serving the underserved communities though..

Thanks in advance.

INS documentation is a green card for permanent resident, right..I am trying to upload copies of it but its not letting me see it..its telling me that the file is too big for some odd reason..is anyone else having trouble uploading it?

If you didn't indicate them as your first choice, then you should put N/A, which is fine and probably what most people will do. If you did put one of them as your first choice, then you should research the campuses and answer the question.

Would anyone who has experienced the St. Luke's 2nd year small-group clinical-based education like to comment on the experience?

what are the gpa and MCAT cut-offs for temple? anyone know?

Jefferson's MCAT cut-offs are at 8 just like many allelopathy schools and some DO schools.

I am still sitting with the Verified status. I wish it would say complete and waiting to be reviewed or something. I just want to make sure they know everything is turned in. I guess I will just have to wait in the verified limbo.

I think they wait until your Mcat scores get in before reviewing your file.

Anyone else having trouble going on temple.edu/medicine? I'm trying to scour their website for info and goodies, and the darn thing isn't loading for me at all.

Try a different browser...I know their link is not working on my safari so I use firefox instead

^^ Their website was giving me some issues as well.

Just submitted the secondary. I feel so late. xD

Last year, first interview came today. O.O

Jeebus, I'm so anxious. Temple is my top choice school.

I was looking at that too haha. The application cycle started a week or two earlier last year, so I wouldn't expect any invites on SDN for at least another week.

I wasn't hugely keen on Temple at first, but writing the secondary made me realize that I'm actually rather excited about this school. Hope they respond positively. :xf:
