They said to expect a decision towards the end of the month; no specific date was given.

Yeah, I guess it depends on how many people they accept from the last interview day.

At least they sent some of you some kind of correspondence. I literally haven't heard anything from UCI in 2013.

im making myself feel really bad looking at the 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 UCI threads. Ugh everyone tells me uci has WL movement--but those threads basically died after May 15th =/

In all honesty though, the closer it gets to fall, the more most people stop lurking/posting on SDN. I wouldn't read too much into the lack of alternate list movement in past threads.

aw thanks for the encouragement. Yeah I know I'm lucky to have been invited to 2nd look. The scared and nervous part of me convinces me that I was being trolled or something ridiculous like that 😛

Dr. Peterson said that in past years, approximately 30-35% of the incoming class came from the waitlist. I really hope that still holds true for this year. The anxiety is really starting to get to me 🙁

The consensus talking to students has been that a good number of the incoming class comes off the wait list--of course, this can vary year to year. We do have some withdrawals here on sdn so at least we know there are some spots! 🙂

I personally met around 3-4 others, so including myself that's 5 people that I can say were DEFINITELY WL'ed but at second look...granted it's very likely that I didn't meet every WL'er who might have been potentially there, as they made no effort to single us out/put us all together.

I met an M4 on Revisit Day who said she had her boss write a letter on her behalf when she was waitlisted, and she thinks it helped her get in. I can't decide if it would be a good idea to do this now, or to wait and see if the list moves sometime soon first. What do you guys think?
