My status just changed from Waiting on Evaluation to Decision Pending.

I interviewed on 1/16.

Hey Guys - I have a question about the UMed program. On the website it says - "An interview at the Chicago campus of the College of Medicine will be required." Does this mean we will have to do a separate interview specifically for the UMed program?

Yeah, it actually says in April at the bottom of the application.

Probably not too much of an effect, but they do say getting done earlier is better at the admissions office.

So I called today and it turns out my application still hasn't even been reviewed and I've been applicant in progress for 2 months now. Just thought I'd let you guys know more about the applicant statuses.

+1 I only called once (back in December) and the person on the phone was AMAZINGLY helpful. She'll be getting an anonymous Xmas present next year! That said, call them sparingly. 🙂 Be considerate in light of the sheer number of applicants (imagine how many calls they would get if applicants called them without restraint).

Its essentially a meet and greet for all accepted candidates. So if you were on the fence about a school (or in UIC's case, have not seen the campus) they want you to meet people, see facilities, and see what they have to offer.

Thats my understanding at least.

Lol, pre-meds? Why I have found on whole the pre-med to be one of the most laid back, come-what-may students in my entire campus. 😀

"A final decision was made on your application on . Please allow two-weeks to receive the correspondence in the mail. If you do not receive this correspondence in two-weeks, please contact the Admissions Office. No decision will be given over the telephone."

What does that mean? It doesn't sound good...

Have you interviewed yet? If not, I received this same status pre-interview last year and it ended in a rejection...good luck if not!
