Did essentially everyone who interviewed this past year and was not accepted get placed on Decision Pending? Or were many outright rejected? I know there have been a few cases of people getting rejected post-interview thus far, but I don't know if that's a minority.
 
I've seen a couple people post about post-interview rejections earlier
 
I will be withdrawing tomorrow from Chicago campus.

Hope it goes to someone who really wants it.
 
Do they send out e-mail confirmations, if you withdraw? Because I didn't get one today after I withdrew.

They don't send a confirmation, when it is processed they will update your status page online
 
People still waiting for good news: The facebook groups for the 2017 classes went +5 for Chicago today and -7 for UPR.

Not sure if that is wholly significant, but half of it looks like good news!

Wait, there are track-specific fb groups? Missed the boat on that one...🙄
 
ahhh fingers crossed petitions get answered today...heard some people last year off the WL got Chicago track and those who petitioned didn't...kinda crappy
 
Besides sending in all the information and accepting the loans/scholarships from Financial Aid, is there anything left to do? I've registered for my fingerprint check too.

Also, I'm on the Chicago campus, if that makes any difference.
 
Man, this thread really died, let's hope there's some movement before June.
 
Wonder if they're going to make the waitlist today or wait until next week and do it 1 day before June 1, haha

Sorry to hear that, still sitting at decision pending here, I really wish I could get some sort of update.
 
Has there ever been a case where someone didn't have the additional correspondence tab and was still accepted?
 
I dont see a tab anywhere but I got this..."A final decision was made on your application on . Please allow two-weeks to receive the correspondence in the mail. If you do not receive this correspondence in two-weeks, please contact the Admissions Office. No decision will be given over the telephone."

Rejection?

Most likely a rejection. I got the same thing. :'(

Guess it's time to start prepping to reapply.
 
Rejection here too. Pretty confused as to why... and why they chose to drag it out for 6 months. Luckily I have other acceptances, but it's pretty funny that I got into a different state school over my own. Interesting. Best of luck to everyone else!

still decision pending here as well...i cant believe theyre allowed to drag it on for so long.
 
I think a decision pending at this point means you'll be waitlisted on June 1

I'm definitely trying not to get my hopes up for anything more than a waitlist position at this point but in the past people have gotten calls from Linda with acceptances at the end of May. I'd be pretty happy with a waitlist spot at this point regardless.
 
I m still at "Decision Pending," so either WL or rejection next month...?

DAE know how many ppl get off from the waitlist?


Its also a little strange that I have some friends who didn't interview here and haven't gotten rejections letters either.

Tough to say right now. It seems that a batch of rejections went out on Friday. I know that a lot of people on here are still listed as "Decision Pending" so they theoretically need to be updated before the end of the week. I would assume that decisions were made last Thursday during an ADCOM meeting but I guess it is possible that they are having another meeting this Thursday and updating the remaining applicants on Friday. The real bottom line after typing all of that, is that no one really has any idea, haha.
 
Got the alternate list letter in the mail today. It's dated May 24th. My status was still decision pending as of Sunday night when I last checked. I live in Chicago so the rest of the letters must be on their way for those people that are still decision pending.

Thanks for posting. Do you mind sharing any details about the letter? Did it include a quartile?

I also got the letter. It states that I am an alternate and yes, it includes a quartile.
 
Yeah it says I have been placed in the first quartile, and that people in the first and second quartile have a more reasonable chance of getting into the class. Good luck to everyone still waiting it out!

I got that letter too. DAE know whats the % that would mean "reasonable chance"?
 
1st quartile here as well. I've never seen anyone post anything other than 1st quartile so I don't think it means much.

That is completely impossible to know and I'm sure it varies pretty widely from year to year. We just need to hope that people holding UIC acceptances get off wait lists at schools they would rather attend.
 
got the same latter here - dated 5/24, alternate list, first quartile, still Decision Pending online. idk if this means only first quartile letters went out, or if it really doesn't mean much. OOS, interviewed late march. *fingers crossed, hoping for the best*

Current Status:
Admissions Process Complete - Orientation Processing Pending

No more fear of something screwing up somewhere down the line!
 
Waitlist movement seems pretty anemic everywhere this year, don't think that bodes well for movement here but I guess you never know.
