I would also like to know!

Me too. There seems to be a lot of confusion from the admissions office. Perhaps the people that are answering phones don't actually know what is going on? I know they told me that all responses are by mail when I called a couple weeks ago.

I also just checked the Facebook group and there are 46 members. So either there are 20+ accepted students that have not joined/don't have Facebook or there might be more decisions to be made?? I'm hoping it's the latter.

Yeah and I also thought that everyone would receive decisions by march 15..

That's what I heard too. But I also heard UNSOM was interviewing people as late as January this year, which is unprecedented...maybe that means the last round of acceptance will get delayed as well? I really hope that's the case and that we're not waitlisted or worse. Sigh... why is this so frustrating?

In response to MooCowJoe, I also received an email from the financial aid office for paperwork.

Good info...fingers crossed for good news soon

Well, I called admissions and asked if all final decisions were made last Friday. She said, "everything is in the mail"

So back to the question if anybody received good news that did not get an email first?

I got certified mail today from them, but I have to go pick it up at the post office...does anybody know if rejections come certified too?

I am in the same situation. I called and the lady said that everything (waitlist and rejections) come certified. I'm not sure if thats true though.

Waitlisted by certified mail today. Called in and they said I was in the top 1/3. I'm not sure on what "top 1/3" means. Can anyone clarify my chances?

Waitlisted and top 1/3 as well. I tried asking how many people got off the waitlist last year but Pat couldn't tell me.

Wait listed as well. Mid third...anyone know how far they usually get on the list? Or how long it is?

I would like to know this as well. How many are offered acceptance off wl, and how long the list is? Anyone know details?

Hey fellow UNSOMers! So I spoke with a student who got off the top 1/3 waitlist last year. He received a phone call from the admissions in mid May and proceeded to receive confirmation by snail mail. He also said that his friend, who was in the MIDDLE 1/3 got called as late as mid July. I think that's awesome news for all of us here! It's possible we all get off the waitlist and become classmates in a few months!

I got offered acceptance! I received a phone call followed by an email and mail packet will soon follow. Good luck everyone! Hope to see you all in the fall!

Is the waitlist for unsom set in rank?...Basically are updates and LOI necessary or are you going to be in the same position no matter what

I asked Pat the same thing when I called in to see my position on the waitlist. She said it won't matter at this point the adcom has already met and you have already been ranked.

Has anyone been accepted off the in state waitlist? Does anyone know if there has been any movement?
