Hello! Does anyone know when the next decisions will be released? And for which interview dates?
This meeting would have been the rest of September and a small portion of October interviewees.

If you interviewed in September and didn't receive a call, does that mean your application has been passed over for now?
Candidates who go through their first committee review and are not offered a seat in that first-review meeting, remain active with committee as they continue to review applicants each month. (We do rolling admissions.) It is not uncommon to see gaps between an interview date and admissions. We do interviewee rejection and alternate list offers at the same time in early April. From there alternate list is active until start of June when we close the cohort. At that time we'll do the final rejections for the cycle to those who do not come off alternate list.

Thank you for taking the time to provide updates! Could you kindly confirm if November admissions calls are related to interviews conducted in September/October?

This meeting would have been the rest of September and a small portion of October interviewees. It would have also been anyone else already reviewed in a previous meeting who rolled forward (cause we do rolling admissions).

Thanks for the updates! Just for a little further clarification, I understand if you interviewed one of those Sept / Oct dates and didn’t hear anything you’re still under review. Would your app still be reviewed each month or is there no guarantee of that?

All interviewed applicants stay active, it's not guaranteed that every single meeting reviews every applicant but their files are available for ongoing consideration until the cohort is filled (which original offers to fill finalize end of March then we go into alternate list season). For more information on our entire timeline/process please visit Admission Selection Process and Timeline

Are interview invites still going to be sent out through December?

Are you able to share roughly how many acceptances go out with each round of calls?

Is it possible for early December interviewees to make it to the December meeting?

December is typically a wrap up of November interviewees depending on the number of November interview weeks.

@UNLV Admin 2 are applications reviewed chronologically of submission date? For example, have October submissions been looked at yet?
Kind of - they're also looked at by pool priority (Nevada resident, Nevada Connection, and Western Region) and some will have delays if they get tied up in LOR or pre-req review/app issues. Files may also be visited more than once as the Review Team considers competitiveness for interview seats and/or candidates who turn down interview invitations.

Hi Everyone! We have finished making our calls for December. The committee still has 3 more meetings (Jan, Feb, Mar) to fill our seats so hang in there. All interviewees are still active. At the start of April, we will do our first round of declines for those who have interviewed and are not moving forward and also our invitations for wait list.

From all of us here at UNLV we wish you a happy, restful, and joyous holiday season. More to come in 2025!

Thank you so much for keeping us all updated! I hope the admissions team and the faculty have a great holiday season!

@UNLV Admin 2, I hope the admissions committee had a great holiday season! Will calls be made on the 20th of this month, as well? Thank you so much for any updates you can provide!
Happy New Year! Admissions calls will be somewhere between 1/23 to 1/27 due to our Assistant Dean (who conducts the calls) being out for a medical procedure.

As an out-of-state resident, does graduating from an NSHE institution allow us an in-state seat at UNLV?
In regard to application, you would be considered Nevada Connection if your legal residence is not in Nevada. For purpose of tuition, that would have to be determined by our registrar at the time of admissions/onboarding via the required forms. Tuition status is different than application status.

Hi Everyone - decision notifications were released today to those that were with Review Team for interview consideration. We have filled all of our interview seats for this cycle. Please note that UNLV does not have an appeals process.

This was UNLV's largest AMCAS cycle ever in the history of the school and our interview seats were still at 300 (which is the same number as previous cycles) making it incredibly competitive. Nevada Connection and Western Region were the largest pools ever as well.

We know that this may be a disappointment if today is the end of your journey this cycle at UNLV, but please know we were incredibly impressed with applications, and we're hopeful you find success at another medical school. If you are considering reapplication in a future cycle, we look forward to seeing you again. Up-to-date information on our application requirements can always be found at: Applicants and at Residency Status For Admissions

**If you are a candidate that has interviewed, you are still with the Admissions Committee. First round of rejections for those not moving forward to admission or waitlist comes in early April.**
