Anybody know what the projected date for the SELECT Second Look week in Lehigh Valley?

Still waiting on my acceptance letter. It might be a bit late, the mail can be so getting to Korea sometimes.
 
Did they remove class rank? I think I heard someone say this on interview day, but I wanted to make sure.
 
I interviewed 2/5... I got waitlisted on the 15th... Has anyone got moved up from the waitlist to accepted?

I talked with Meghan today and she said they are still choosing a date but most likely it will be in early May (the first or second weekend). She said they would email us soon with more specific info.

Also, could any current SELECT student comment on any financial aid they received from USF to help with the cost of the program? They briefly mentioned this during the interview day but didn't really go that in depth with it.

A 10-day turn around? Wow that's fast. I just interviewed recently and they said expect to hear back in 3-4 weeks.
 
Yea my bad I wrote the wrong date.... It was the 21st I got the letter in the mail

That's good news. I should be back to the states by then. I really would like to check out the facilities at Lehigh Valley.

Hey guys this might sound stupid but do people normally bring parents/spouses/family members to second look?

Absolutely! I'd bring my mom to all of my instate Second Looks. They can always help you to decide if you are choosing between schools.
 
I also got the call and was accepted yesterday!! Interviewed 2/11 for SELECT.
Is there a facebook group or anything for people who are definitely attending next year?
I'm pretty sure I am.. so excited!!!

Congrats! Did anyone else get a message for the Second Look weekend twice that was recalled a couple times? Are they trying to tell me something? :laugh:

I will get some first years on here to comment bc my class was the first and got scholarships bc of that.

It's an expensive program for sure... but coming from pa no more expensive than my alternatives
 
does anyone know when the first day is for SELECT people in August? Also, when is the fall break?
 
For those who recieved post interview updates via mail (ie waitlist/rejection), did you notice a "Communication Status" update in the app portal before you recieved it?

Just got a SELECT interview!! For April :O
 
So I must admit that I have been lurking on this forum for several months, sometimes checking it multiple times a day just out of nervous habit waiting for this process to be over. Early this morning I got the acceptance call!!!! So excited!!! Thank you to everyone who provided answers and input during this stressful process!

They said we would hear back 3-4 weeks from our interview date. So if I had to guess, I'd say this Friday we might hear back.
 
Do you know if the whole group are all interviewing for core?

From what I've been told, SELECT and CORE interviews are held on different days, SELECT on Monday and CORE on Tuesday. Your interview group should've been for the same program.

Mr. Perez said about 200 interviewed, with 54 people to be part of the class. How many acceptances they put out, I have no idea.

For clarification, about the relationship between CORE and SELECT. They usually choose one or the other for applicants who apply to both. They usually don't offer applicants an interview for both programs. So presumably if you get rejected for SELECT, you would have probably got the reject for CORE as well.
 
Accepted to SELECT last Thursday via phone & got my letter today! Interviewed on 2/25.
 
I didn't forget about y'all, I've been talking to some of the first years (and hopefully have one coming on here soon....)

Financial aid for SELECT is going to be pretty similar to anywhere else, a whole lotta loans.

Look forward to meeting any of you who will be at second look in April!

Wish I could make it to Florida, but I think I will be still be in Korea. 🙁

Congrats to the new SELECTees! I finally got my letter today so I now I feel all official. I feel stupid though cause I just mailed my financial aid app priority mail yesterday and I have to send back these other forms. Not sure if I want trust the system with the regular mail, but it's $5+ a pop for the priority mail. Decisions, decisions...
