I am starting to get nervous because no other medical school has offered me an interview in months. I really want to interview at UTMB and UTSW as well. Looking at the positive though, I got the opportunity to interview at three schools! Overall they have all been similar format in interviewing, but the curriculum at each school was definitely unique.

I am exactly the same! Interviews to the same three schools and now nada. When did you submit? I submitted early, but new mcat score wasnt out until 8/28

I am feeling the exact same way man. Same boat as you but nothing from here and I am from San Antonio even. I guess on the bright side 8 interviews gives you pretty solid odds, I just always have the same thoughts as you wondering if maybe uthscsa caught something the other schools missed or if uthscsa is simply looking for something other schools don't care about as much. Either way I am sure you're good! :luck:

Just called admissions, and the first form of contact is always email. Then they follow up with a letter. I'm going to be all over my email on Monday! Good luck everyone!

One of my top 2. OOS, interviewed 8/6, really wanting some good news tomorrow!

Holy smokes... 1:2 odds as an in-stater post-interview? Much better than I expected!

I just interviewed here today, and it was a phenomenal experience. The new curriculum sounds superb and all the MS1s I talked to seemed thrilled with it. Really hoping for some UTHSCSA love come match day.

Does anyone know whether this school tends to be stingy or generous with pre-match offers?

Last year they were a bit on the stingy side... at least according to Dr. Jones.
 
Haha me too, has anybody called the school to see if they've sent acceptances out yet? And do the email you and is it something you get in the mail?
 
I called this morning and they didn't seem to know much about the OOS acceptances. They were nice, and I could have spoken with someone unfamiliar with the acceptance schedule. I didn't get the impression that anything had gone out yet, but could be wrong. Good luck everyone!

Comforting to know they haven't said anything, but don't they know my work productivity is tanking? Think of the children...

I totally agree...my only consolation is that since none of you have heard anything yet, there's still hope for me. I think the only thing worse than waiting is finding out OTHER people have news while I still have none.

Hahaha You crack me up. I am in-state so I feel like my productivity is going to continue to tank until I get at least one acceptance letter. Then it will probably completely crash for good. Hopefully it will come back a week later!

Likewise, I know my productivity has been rubish for the last few weeks, I'm thinking come my first TX acceptance :xf: (not huge on going elsewhere) I will be completely checked out...
 
keep holding your breath because i just talked to the admissions office and the committee still hasn't made final decisions....so it's looking like friday at the earliest but more likely next week sometime. And they'll send an email first then mail an official acceptance letter.

*sigh* thanks for the update though. I guess I can stop refreshing for a while. This is going to be another brutal weekend of waiting!
 
Feeling your tense, I am worried about how much intense Nov 15 would be for me 🙁

29 mcat and 4.0 GPA. I had my interview on Aug 20. Hope this helps.

It is still the middle of october and there are still good amount of places available for invitation, so you still have the possibility to get the invite!! 🙂 :xf:

39 MCAT and 4.0 GPA . That is pretty sweet man, With a Lizzy score of 79 you should DEFINITLY get accepted to medical school.

I'm assuming you meant a 29 MCAT? 😕

With those numbers I'm sure you did interview at UTHSCSA lol (and probably most med schools in the nation)
 
Anybody have the stats on how many pre-match offers were given last year? Don't know if someone already posted them.
 
Ditto. To the person who called last week, did they seem pretty confident they'd have a few decisions made by this week?

Still nothing... When I talked to them they seemed confident that things would be happening soon but I they didn't give definite days. I'd say everyone is still waiting...

Just called admissions, the lady said she anticipates that a batch of acceptances will go out if not at the end of this week, the beginning of next week...:scared:

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but does UTHSCSA give out rejections post-interview or is it the whole if not accepted prematch/match, then waitlist thing?
