I received an email about an hour after the phone call. Did you not receive one? If not, maybe try a quick phone call to admissions?

Hmmm not yet, but I got the call around 5pm on Friday so I figured it might get sent today. I'm not in a rush, just wanted to make sure my date is confirmed 🙂. So excited!!!

Thanks! I'm probably a little too excited about this lol; I was an unsuccessful applicant in 2011 (didn't even make it past UCF's pre-screen), so I welcome any and all positive changes to my apps. Really hope an II here is in my future.

It took 14 days for me to go from File Under Review to EFI.
 
EFI today! So excited... keeping my phone nearby just in case!
 
Received an II today! I saw the number come up while I was in a meeting at work and then when I called back they were away from the desk, the anticipation of waiting for the call back almost killed me. Then when they said "Well we've reviewed your file and the committee has question about your application..." I almost died ha. Then they did the invite and I was so relieved and excited I could hardly respond for a second haha. Anyway tentative date of 10/7/13, possibly 9/27/13. OOS applicant, first invite and super stoked to see the school, good luck to all! 😀

Congrats! Mind if I ask about your stats and complete date? I'm a fellow OOS applicant who is really really hoping to interview here

Thanks!, completed around 8/11/13, stats: 33, 3.92 cGPA 3.88sGPA, EC (+/- a few hours since i'm going off the top of my head here) 350ish service hours, 88 hrs shadowing 15 specialties, 900 hrs patient exposure, 700 hrs research, and some leadership stuff with clubs and what not. Good luck to ya!

Very excited to get EFI status today, love the accurate timeline that was provided! Congrats to all who have gotten interviews so far 🙂
 
I heard rumors there were more ii's going out sooner than later.

Yep, I'm an M1 and currently drowning in all manner of rate-limiting enzymes and allosterically-regulating metabolites in biochemistry.

For those of you who have gotten an EFI, did anyone's review take longer than 15 business days from the time the complete email was received? I am on business day 16 now and a little anxious :/

I found out a little under 15 business days but that doesnt mean that it couldnt take longer. Dont give up hope!!!

I've been EFI for a few weeks now as well. Realize that being EFI early does not guarantee an early II (or even an II at all). There's no set timeline for them to extend an II, as far as I know.

True, but alanstein was asking about how long it took for those who have EFI status to get from File Complete to EFI. This process is supposed to be 15 days.

Mine changed in 14 days, but like others have said on here, I wouldn't get too anxious about that just yet! I think the 15 days is a relatively loose time frame. Why don't you give them a call at the end of next week if your status hasn't changed by then? GL!!

So excited for my interview in a couple weeks! I get to go watch the Knights play South Carolina afterwards...hopefully I can cheer for them as a student in the future!!

Is UCF receptive to in the area emails? I do not want to bother you guys with another email when I am sure you receive plenty on a daily basis.
