II by phone call today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So excited for my alma mater! 😍

I'm also curious. Is the dinner the night before informal? Does anyone know if it's mandatory?

The dinner is informal and is not mandatory. HIGHLY recommend it. Had an awesome time, hosts are very informative and gracious. Plus it really settles your nerves for interview day.

Can anyone give a summary of what happened on interview day please? Also, how did the students feel about the new curriculum?

Agreed. Well said!

Is UF the kind of school that has a high II -> Acceptance rate? I've read and heard that ~65% of students usually get an acceptance throughout the year with a higher chance the earlier you interview.

On interview day, they told us that last year they interviewed 383 and accepted 230. That yields an acceptance rate of 60%. They didn't say anything about interviewing early resulting in better outcomes, but I don't see why that wouldn't be the case. Hope this helps! :luck:

Thanks! Definitely my number 1 here. Hope I get an II :xf:

GO GATORS! Good luck to y'all applying. I'm not in med school but I love my school.

October 15th is right around the corner! Best of luck to everyone waiting to hear!!! :xf::xf::xf::xf::xf::xf::xf:

Yup, big day tomorrow!! Good luck to you too and all the others 😀

Well, technically, the notifications will go out tomorrow. AAMC trafficking rules stipulate AFTER October 15th. Good luck!!!

Nah. That may only be UCF because other schools are already sending out acceptances and the dean of admissions at FAU specifically and repeatedly said they would notify us on the 15th.

Interesting. Well, best of luck to everyone who lost sleep last night in anticipation!!!! (as well as those who slept just fine) 😀

On interview day, they told us they would be making phone calls the 15th, so we should know today. :luck::luck::luck:
