How open is UF to out of state applicants? I should have a 3.6 gpa/ 3.6 sgpa when applying, haven't taken mcat yet.

Would it be to any advantage that my GF will also be applying to another post grad school there? she'll qualify as a FL resident I believe...

I think generally, about 1000 oos students apply and about 20 are selected for an interview. These estimations come from what I have seen in the MSAR over the past years. But double check just in case.

Not sure if it would make a difference unless you are married and she is indeed a FL resident. Of course, however, please do not marry her for the residency lol.

Your best bet is to just purchase the MSAR for your application year and look at how many OOSers were accepted the year prior - sometimes schools become more receptive to OOS applicants (however, UF IS a state school, so the amount of OOS acceptances isn't likely to go up to 50% 😀). In my opinion, UF is worth applying to if you have the money for it. About your girlfriend... well, it depends on how serious you guys are. As @pET28a said, it probably wouldn't have much leverage unless you get married/engaged. Good luck! 🙂

Thank you, all. I appreciate it!
