Final decision made on the 24th, Got my acceptance package on the 3rd but still no CBC email. Anyone who got their final decision update on the 24th received the CBC email yet?

Yeah, all GMed students are placed in Chicago. If you have any other questions, I can definitely talk to you guys about what the program's like. When I was looking, this program played a significant role in deciding which school I would attend and I am so happy I am able to be a part GMed.
If you're interested in global medicine, it's a great program and I would encourage you to apply! It's my understanding that you can submit an application after your interview because the applications are due on Friday, March 14th. If you are invited for an interview, they will be held during Second Look Day (which, according to the application, will be on April 25th though accepted students would be more likely to know than I) or, if you can't attend, via Skype at/around that same date.
Also, I have heard nothing but good things from my friends in UMed so consider applying for that program as well! Both are very competitive so definitely take your application(s) seriously.

Is second look April 25th or 11th?
Anybody with additional correspondence tab on Feb 24th still did not receive the mail? Or rejection with the tab?
Also, did all who recently got accepted get any additional emails implying about the acceptance such as housing, background check, etc?
I did get that tab, still no mail, and no other emails... Waiting game chokes me. Guess I am not a good player.

So happy to be placed in Chicago!!! Got my site placement email today! I guess the Chicago class isn't full yet for those who are wondering.
I'm pretty sure I got accepted at the same time as you and I haven't received my site placement yet 🙁

Hi everyone,
Could I ask a quick question to those of you who were already accepted?
After accepting UIC's offer, on the online status page under "Pre Enrollment Requirements," my transcripts are listed as not yet received. I just wanted to ask if you all re-ordered your transcripts and sent them to a specific place (i.e. the med school) at UIC after being accepted? I remember issuing my transcripts to AMCAS way back when (many, many months ago), but perhaps I should do so again?

UIC's registrar and AMCAS are completely separate. UIC will need a copy of all of your transcripts.

Hey guys- received a II invite last week- anyone know if there is a way to find your submitted application to print out? I want to take a look at my essays but when i try to log into the supplemental app page I get the message "The supplemental application deadline has passed. The Application is unavailable"...

Did you write them in something like Word or another program? If so, just print them from there- I have no idea if you can access the essays from their website, but it if you can't this would be the best option.

I already submitted the FAFSA for this school, if that's what you're asking.
Oh What are the hepatitis B form? Do I just need to send in my vaccine records?

Is that all they need? Is there another financial aid application separate from that one?
Once they process it, they may ask for additional information/paperwork/proof before finalizing your award letter.
They told us that it was almost unheard of. Some students (and when they said "some" they told us 1-3) were granted a placement change closer to when classes began but they said the chances of that happening without extenuating circumstances were extremely low. This is just what I was told by students and the faculty when I interviewed and visited in the past. They seem to be kinda shady about how they place us in the first place. But I'm not on admissions so......

Thanks. I guess it's at least worth a try to get it changed, but I'm not getting my hopes up. I was hoping for Chicago so that I could commute, but now I can't really do that. My ranking was: 1- Chicago 2- Urbana 3-Peoria 4- Rockford.
They meet every 3rd Thursday from what everyone has said. I was told end of March (I interviewed end of Feb) So maybe 3/20 or more likely 3/27?

I got my placement through email both times, but I was also accepted some time ago (Placement card listed as received 11/13).

I don't think anyone who has applied for UMed has heard back yet. In the confirmation email they sent after I submitted my application, they said they would let us know around mid-March after the application deadline (which I believe is tomorrow).
I waited until I was accepted to submit it since they said they would review apps of those accepted students first (but not sure how that works if they haven't given you a decision yet)
I have heard back. Applied very early on. I am an accepted applicant.
