I never received a "final decision" status before my rejection......
If it makes you feel any better, I got rejected from here today as well (but got accepted to UNC). I think it's just a crapshoot...
I have yet to hear back from UNC...so no, I don't feel better. Seems like they passed me over too.
I have an interview coming up very soon at UNC but not a peep from ECU yet. so what youcandoitpenguin said sounds reasonable..things would work themselves out, goodluck.
It's been so tough for me too. I'm hoping for the best though. I don't want to give up just yetNothing but silence from ECU for me, too. This has been a tough cycle thus far. Here's hoping that there will be a massive wave of IIs in the coming weeks
Don't get discouraged. It took me 3 times to get my MCAT up to a decent score for schools to even consider giving me an interview. Find a strategic way to study, SHADOW, Boost those ECs!!! Good luck 🙂
Same here. Low mcat. Retaking in January so hoping for better luck next round.
Good luck to you on your retake! I'm waiting on the scores from my retake in Oct. but it was a rough test for me so I'm probably going to start prepping for the 2015 exam for my third and final attempt at the test.

Thanks for the words of encouragement! I'm volunteering and shadowing now to try and boost my app. I'm waiting on the scores from my retake but I'm not confident I did any better. I'll take it a 3rd time if I need to! Hopefully I'll get there.

Accepted today via email at ~1pm. Interviewed 9/4. There's still hope!
Perhaps a silly question, but...
Does sending an update letter post-interview seem synonymous to a Letter of Intent to adcoms? Is it one of those things you should refrain from doing if it isn't a letter along the lines of "I'll definitely come here if admitted"?

Any admission decisions as recent as today? It seems that decisions are not being released on the day of ad com meetings (1st and 15th) this year-anyone notice a pattern of when they are actually announced?
Accepted today! Interviewed late October, absolutely overjoyed.

Post-interview
End of October. Was told by my advisor to expect a rejection because they wouldn't believe I want to go there.
has anyone received the update "your application has been reviewed by the committee but no decision has been made yet" and also been accepted?
I've only ever seen the negative outcome from this update on the status page, and I just received that on 12/08/14 :'(

It seems that @CuriousGeorge93 had success after receiving that status so 'don't wait for the other shoe to drop.' Keep hope at whatever cost to your mental health!
^Yep! Like Dean Peden said, no decision is a good decision. From what I've seen thus far, if ECU knows they don't want to accept you, they won't leave you hanging in limbo like a lot of other schools do.

I just got an invitation for interviews today via email.
Congrats! I interviewed late October (10/29) as well, hopefully this means I'll get something soon or shortly into the new year!
Anyone get any news lately?
My status just changed to this today: "Your application has been reviewed by our committee. At this point, no final decision has been made. It will be reviewed again in the near future. Thank you for your patience"... not sure what this means.. but "no news... is good news" as they love to say at ECU. Staying hopeful! 🙄
