So, I applied to Mayo as my SUPER reach. I'm a non-traditional with a previous career in the business industry but my GPA is 3.3, way below their average. MCAT is 32. I received an email:
"Thank you for your application fee payment. Please note that Mayo Medical School does not have a secondary application. We do not request letters of recommendation from all applicants. When letters of recommendation are needed for your file, you will be notified via email.
If your letters are already in AMCAS, there is no further action required on your part. If we wish to access the letters, we will retrieve them directly from AMCAS."
So, no LOR request...but no rejection yet... is that kiiiind of a good thing? 😵 I know I read somewhere up there that they reject pre-LOR after a few weeks so should I be pretty much bracing myself for that? Either way, I had to try, so I'm glad I at least applied.
