Did all of these WL drop at the same time? I interviewed for MN/FL 2+2 and haven’t heard anything 🙁

Is there any stats on how many typically get accepted off the waitlist? I know its variable year to year, but general numbers post II

I saw someone in a previous year’s thread say that MSAR said ~300 total on the waitlist and ~40 come off of it. However, someone close to the school commented that by the time they pull people off the waitlist there’s closer to 100-150 people left. Although, idk if this commenter was referring to just the Minnesota campus or all tracks.

I’d be interested to hear everyone else’s takes.

They will almost certainly send rejections today. Bracing myself for it.

I'm also fairly certain that at this point no acceptance and no waitlist = rejection, but I hope I'm wrong.
 
+1 AL never been so happy to get a waitlist email lol

Edit: traditional Mn track. Trying not to read too much into being in the 2nd round of AL emails

+1 AL after 2 highly ranked emails. If anyone on the committee sees this, I highly encourage them to reconsider the highly ranked emails because it hurts so much more after getting my hopes up. I'm feeling like I should not have told them that they were my first choice, not considering financial factors.

I stand immediately corrected.

I still have not received a WL email though hahahaha, so still waiting for the R.

I just got the AL email for Arizona and I'm also trying not to read too much into that but it seems like yesterday was a lot of October and November interviews and I interviewed in December so it could be that? I also have a last name later in the alphabet so I'm trying to be delusional and pretending it might be one of those reasons lollll

all decisions were made tg on Jan 23/24! its likely that they just send the emails in batches for whatever reason. the email also says the AL is unranked
 
AL. Mn+Fla. Told them they were the first choice. Very specific about the need to express continued interest and to send any updates that might be appropriate.

I'm kind of wondering if they're waiting until tomorrow to avoid that, which is even worse. Just give us the news, there's no need to string us along for every little thing 😭

I understand the process and everything, but they gave us our scores a really long time ago, and we already saw the A wave along with two WL waves. Just want the R so I can move on this is starting to PMO.

no literally. like they told us all the decisions were being made on the same days. why release decisions in waves like this? it is almost unnecessarily cruel

yeah same here. very disappointed...
 
Has anyone gotten a gauging interest email that’s on the alternate list? Wondering if they still do that
 
When does the committee convene to choose people off the alternate list?
